GameStop has already raised the price of the PlayStation 4 Camera in response to a lack of supply. Normally priced at $59.99 (USD), GameStop now has the peripheral listed at $69.99. Most retailers constantly have the item listed as being out of stock.

In a statement issued to Polygon, a Sony rep did not really comment on the shortage but instead said that the camera is in high demand.
"While we do not comment on the sales figures, shipment or monthly production quantity, PlayStation Camera remains in high demand, and we've been pleased with the camera's popularity among PlayStation 4 owners. We continue to control our production according to market demand and increase the production as necessary to meet the needs."

It could go hand in hand with how the PlayStation 4 itself is constantly out of stock at most retailers. Here's how the Xbox One is being stocked by comparison. You can also keep an eye on PlayStation 4 accessories, such as the camera, to see when retailers other than GameStop get them in stock.
