  • Chris Avellone Wraps Up Work on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order; Teases Another Project

Earlier today, game designer and noted writer Chris Avellone revealed that he recently finished working on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

If you recall from yesterday's news, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the latest Star Wars title that EA is getting ready to publish. Unlike other Star Wars titles released in the past couple of years, this one isn't being developed by DICE but is instead being developed by Respawn Entertainment.

For those who are wondering why this is exciting news, you need only look at Avellone's previous work to understand....

  • Paradox Potentially Teasing New Vampire: The Masquerade Game via Dating App ARG

This one is coming at you hot and fast from PC Gamer. A new report from the digital magazine suggests that Paradox Interactive is possibly teasing a new Vampire: The Masquerade game via a fake dating app.

The app is called Tender and it's claim to fame is a "soulmate algorithm." You can even sign into it using your existing Paradox account. And I wouldn't worry too much about actually getting matched with someone. Even their announcement video seems to indicate that things are not as they seem with Tender.

    When you first sign...

No Man's Sky Has a Weird ARG Happening Right Now

From what we have gathered, Hello Games has sent out packages to 16 people, many of which are mods on Reddit. In these packages are a No Man's Sky shirt, pin, socks, and a signed poster that says "hope you like what's next" along with a message saying "dreaming of far-flung worlds."

Each package also contains an audio cassette that are numbered (IE: 1/16, 2/16, etc.). According to a Reddit post, not all tapes have been received yet since most people don't actually still own a cassette player in 2017. The NMS detective team on Reddit have been h...

Valve Confirms Holiday Sale ARG is Not About Half-Life 3

This past week, fans have been eagerly hanging on to every word and clue revealed in an apparent Valve ARG born from the Steam Holiday Sale 2015. There was even an apparent lambda symbol found!

Well, it seems it's all for not. Someone received an email response from Valve's Marc Laidlaw, who made sure to crush everyone's hopes and dreams of this being anything related to Half-Life 3.

And for those who don't want to (or can't) read Laidlaw's response in the above image:

Lambda Symbol Possibly Revealed in Apparent Valve Winter Sale ARG

Valve might have hidden a bunch of secret clues in this latest Winter Sale of theirs. To make a super long story short, a bunch of people have been finding clues in backgrounds, web pages, and more during this latest Steam Winter Sale for 2015.

In fact, they have gone so far as to unlock a special badge (seen below), which you can earn yourself (at least at the time of this posting). All you need to do is open up this Steam store link in Chrome, type in (without clicking anything ahead of time) the word "search", hit "enter" on your keyboard, and then input...

  • Google Developer Apologizes for Including Concentration Camps in Augmented Reality Game Ingress

Niantic Labs, a Google subsidiary, has apologized for including concentration camps in their popular ARG, Ingress. Ingress essentially has players going around "capturing" popular locations and moments for their team. It's all done in the real world utilizing your phone's GPS to aid in your discovery and capture of locations (called Portals in the game) in your immediate area. It just so happened that some of these locations ended up being concentration camps. German news outlet, Die Zeit, reported that those places included Dachau, Sachsenhausen, and more...

Black Mesa is Counting Down to ... Something

Remember Black Mesa? It was the fan made total remake of the original Half-Life on the Source Engine. It was originally announced in late 2004 and was finally released to the public in late 2012. Unfortunately, it wasn't the "complete" version of the game. It lacked all of Xen and all of the promised multiplayer for the game. It was then one of the first games approved through Steam Greenlight to be released through Steam.

Today, here in 2015, 11 years after it was first announced, the Black Mesa website has been updated with a ... a...

  • The Secret of the Phantom Program 4 for Battlefield 4 - Hidden Bow, Satellites, and More

With the release of the Final Stand DLC for Battlefield 4 came the start of the fourth phase of the Phantom Program and the Phantom Operative Assignment. What is it? Well, unlike the previous assignments, you can't simply enter in a password on the Battlelog site.

Oh no, this one apparently goes beyond that. Here's jackfrags to explain what is and is not know about the Phantom Program 4 so far.

That's where things stand right now with the Phantom Operative Assignment in Battlefield 4. Yes, it's more ARG type stuff that people...

A patch for Infamous: Second Son will be released tomorrow that will add 19 new missions to the game and about five hours of additional gameplay.
