A new "Chaos Mode" was added to the Extinction game type for Call of Duty: Ghosts. This mode is a straight forward mode where waves of enemies come at you in waves. Over time, players can increase their combo multiplier and earn more perks the longer they hold out and the better they perform. First Ever Teaser Image for Call of Duty 2014
Sledgehammer Games, during their GDC 2014 panel, revealed the first-ever look at the 2014 release of Call of Duty. It's not much, but it's all that we have right now. IGN has the image, seen below, that shows off "actual in-game characters."

This weekend, Activision will have a free weekend for Call of Duty: Ghosts on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. This is, apparently, the first time such an event has taken place on the consoles. It is a fairly "common" occurrence on the PC platform however.

It turns out that players still want to play Call of Duty as shown by the fact that Call of Duty: Ghosts is the best-selling "next-gen" title released so far. Activision announced that Ghosts is both the top-selling game for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and the most played game on both platforms.
