A new post (warning: Twitter link) from the Ricochet anti-cheat team includes a few details on their efforts to stop hackers in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. According to the team, they say that they have issued over 19,000 account bans since last week's release of Ranked Play.

Their message continues on to say that they are making "hourly sweeps" to add even more bans to the list. These bans will remove cheaters from Ranked Play and the leaderboards.

The update from the Ricochet team did not include any information on bans for non-ranked play or for Warzone.

#TeamRICOCHET with an update on the ongoing work to combat cheating in Ranked Play:
    • AI systems continue to ramp up with code optimizations to accelerate enforcements
    • Over 19,000 Ranked Play bans since the mode launched
    • Hourly sweeps to remove cheaters from the Ranked Play mode and leaderboard
Thanks for your patience as our team continues to fight against cheaters.

Battlefield 2042 to Utilize New EA Anticheat in Season 6
      by Shawn Zipay
A new anti-cheat has entered the battlefield.

Electronic Arts just announced that they are working on implementing their own anti-cheat (or anticheat), into their current and upcoming multiplayer titles. Much like the simply named EA app, EA's new anticheat is called EA anticheat. Yes, that lack of capitalization is correct and slightly frustrating to look at.

This is about as invasive an anti-cheat as you can get.

On October 12, the Call of Duty devs issued a vague, ominous, and really cringey warning to cheaters. As it stands, the new anti-cheat for Call of Duty: Warzone wasn't slated to be released until Call of Duty: Vanguard released later this year. So, what then were they teasing to be revealed today?

Well, it was the reveal announcement for their new anti-cheat. They call it Ricochet, which is not to be confused with...
