Play as a couple of iconic horror movie villains in the new Warzone event.

If you thought that Call of Duty: Warzone would be a safe reprieve from the spooks and scares that come with the Halloween season, you would be wrong. You would be dead wrong. Call of Duty: Warzone has a special "Haunting of Verdansk" that stars Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Jigsaw from the Saw franchise. Not only are these two now stalking the battlefield for their next victim, but there are also some new rewards to earn, a new custom map, and some limited-time modes to enjoy.

How do you gain access to these two characters? Well, uh, you need to buy them. They are available as separate purchases.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre bundle includes a Leatherface skin for Velikan, a "Family Heirloom" blueprint for the LMB that allows the Operator to "wield the weapon like a chainsaw," a melee blueprint that turns the weapon into a hammer, and seven other themed items.

According to the Call of Duty blog, the bundle for Saw is fairly similar to the one for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Operator Morte will gain access to the Billy the Puppet skin. The Saw themed bundle also includes the Phlebotomozier Lethal Equipment piece, which is a special throwing knife that will "drill into your enemies upon impact." There are also two Saw themed blueprint weapons. The first is for an Assault Rifle, while the second is for a Shotgun. There are also some special skins, plus a tricycle Charm that you can attach to your weapons.

There will be a few other Operators that get some special skin bundles including the "Grim Reaper" bundle for Ghost and the "Dia de los Muertos" for Mace.

In addition, there are over a dozen rewards that players can earn through the limited-time Trick or Treat event.


There is also a special nighttime version of Verdansk that can be experienced in select Warzone modes such as Trios. From the sounds of it, it seems as though this special content will last until November 3.

And finally, there is also a special game mode that will be available through November 3. It's called Zombie Royale and is a limited-time mode where dead Operators come back to life as zombies. They cannot use weapons, but they do have supernatural abilities such as increased speed, improved jumps, deadly melee attacks, and thermal vision. Zombies can actually get back to the land of the living if they manage to collect two dropped Syringes. The team that has an Operator that is still alive at the end of the round is deemed the winner.
