Mortal Kombat 11 developer, NetherRealm Studios, took to Twitter earlier today to announce that they have started work on their next project. Because of this, there will be no additional content released for Mortal Kombat 11.

Mortal Kombat 11 released back in late 2019. Since then, NetherRealm has supported the title with numerous content updates, many of which introduced new combatants. NetherRealm also released Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath in 2020. This release was a robust new expansion for the game that added in new story, characters, and abilities. It also released as part of a collection that included the base game, the Aftermath expansion, all of the previously released DLC fighters, and a bunch of fighter skins.

Mortal Kombat 11 was widely regarded as one of the best entries in the franchise. The PC version of Mortal Kombat 11 is currently on sale through Steam as part of the Steam Summer Sale.
