Tatsumi Kimishima, the man who was the head of Human Resources for Nintendo, has been named as the new President of Nintendo. He will be the permanent replacement for the roll that Satoru Iwata held before his untimely passing earlier this year.

Kimishima was the President of Nintendo of America from 2002 until 2006 when Reggie Fils-Aime took over. He was also the CFO for the Pokemon Company, the President of Pokemon USA in 2001, and spent 27 years working for the Sanwa Bank of Japan prior to his time at Nintendo.

I wouldn't expect Kimishima to carry the same lighthearted and jovial attitude that Iwata was known most recently for, especially in the crazy Nintendo Direct videos. Nintendo appointed him for his business background to hopefully help the struggling company.
