Next stop: Reboot City.
This year, Call of Duty fans are getting a reboot of the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare title. Next year, fans may get a reboot of the Black Ops series. This is if the latest rumors are to be believed.
The 2020 Call of Duty will either be Call of Duty: Black Ops 5 or simply Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game will be set in the Cold War era and will also include the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
This all comes courtesy of YouTuber TheLongSensation via his Twitter account. While it may be easy to just write this off as some random person making things up, TheLongSensation is the person who first leaked the name and original details about this year's Modern Warfare reboot before it was ever announced.
This new information also seems to fall in line with an earlier report from Kotaku. They revealed back in May that the 2020 Call of Duty was a bit of a mess and that Treyarch had taken over development.
