Tim Sweeney Called Valve 'Assholes' in Email to Gabe Newell, Valve COO Says 'You Mad Bro?'

Tim Sweeney is always mad.

The antitrust lawsuit against Valve from Wolfire Games got a little spicy this week. Though the initial lawsuit against Valve was dismissed, Wolfire amended their suit in May 2022 and the legal battle was back on.

It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

  • High-Performance Servers Rolled out to Combat Rubber Banding Issues in Battlefield 4

In an effort to combat the rubber banding issue in Battlefield 4, DICE set out to look for what they believe to be the root cause of the issue. They found that it's apparently from a "configuration of certain hardware types dedicated to 64-player matches." Here is what Karl Magnus Troedsson said to fans earlier today on the Battlefield blog.
Hi everyone, As you know, we’ve been looking into resolving the “rubber banding” that some players on certain platforms have experi

Battlefield 1942 is Free on Origin... Again

Once again, EA is just giving away Battlefield 1942 through Origin. Last month EA gave out Dead Space as part of their new On the House program. This month it's Battlefield 1942 that's free, though their On the House page still lists Dead Space. So either this is a non-On the House free game and a limited time offer, or it's going to be an On the House deal, or it's a new permanent price reduction, or I have no idea what I'm talking about. No matter what, just go get the game since ...

  • The 'Death Shield' Hitbox Bug in Battlefield 4

The 'Death Shield' Hitbox Bug in Battlefield 4

Normally, we aren't too keen on posting exploit or unpatched bug videos but this is one of those cases where this seems to be a rather high priority issue that needs to be fixed ASAP. So, the more people that are aware of this, the better the chances are that this issue gets resolved for Battlefield 4, right? The short of this bug is that a hitbox on a body that can be revived remains where it shouldn't be. This prevents most projectiles from passing through to anything behind it, ...

DICE Makes Fixing Rubber Banding a Top Priority for Battlefield 4

A news update released today by DICE says that the rubber banding issue in 64-player servers is a top priority for them to fix.

    by Shawn Zipay
    It's AAAA vs WB.

March isn't even over yet and we've already seen a couple of stinkers come out from major gaming studios. While we tend to focus on the surprise hits or quality titles in these polls, this time it's a little bit different.
