Next-gen PES is Moving to New Game Engine

Sounds like it might be Unreal Engine.

Konami still makes games occasionally. One of those games that they make that isn't Bomberman is none other than PES (Pro Evolution Soccer), their annual soccer (or football for you non-Americans) sports release. Konami says today that the future of the franchise on next-gen machines will make use of an "updated engine" that will "enable (them) to dazzle you with staggering improvements to all areas of the game."

Rumor: Sony Working on Silent Hills and Silent Hill Series Reboot

    Here we go again.

Time and time again we see a new rumor surface that Konami is working on a new Silent Hill game. It's a rumor that, like many rumors about old and beloved franchises, just doesn't want to ever die. So let's just get on with it.

The latest rumor comes from Rely On Horror (site is getting hammered as of this posting). They say that at least two different sources have told them that not only is Silent Hill coming back, but it's coming back thanks to Sony....

Konami Remembers That They Used to Make Video Games

They're probably just teasing more pachinko machines.

Recently, the former video game developer Konami updated their key visual on their recruitment page. The new art showcases some really iconic characters from some of Konami's biggest and best franchises over the past 50 years.

What jobs are they recruiting for? Beats me. I saw someone make the joke that they must be using this image to hire gravediggers and that gave me a sad chuckle. So let's just run with that....

Solid Snake Joke Goes Too Far During Tekken EVO Finals

    David Hayter is not pleased.

During this weekend's Tekken 7 grand finals at EVO, a short video was played showing Solid Snake talking to Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada. Snake belted out, as only Snake could, a line about playing some "good ass Tekken" before the fake feed was cut.

The video was not shown during the livestream, but it was captured by a number of people that were in attendance at the event itself. Initially, many people thought this was a teaser...

You Can Now Play P.T. on the PC in VR

Unreal PT is what happens when someone takes assets from P.T., puts them back together in Unreal Engine 4, and adds in VR support because to hell with everything, you weren't going to sleep tonight anyway. For those that forgot about P.T., it is the "Playable Teaser" that was created by Kojima Productions and Guillermo Del Toro back in 2014. It was revealed and released without anybody knowing just what it was all about. Most who dove in thought it was just a unique horror demo and that wa...

Metal Gear Survive Apparently Has a Plot

Metal Gear Survive is the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V spin-off game that Konami is working on. Yeah, Konami still makes a game here or there, presumably when it's a slow season for pachislot. Metal Gear Survive finds you fighting for survival after Mother Base is nearly pulled into a wormhole following the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. This is already a really stupid plot, even by Metal Gear standards. I'm just going to let Konami's press release do the talking. ...
