Hacker claims to have had access to the infamous message board's backend for over a year.

The so-called "cesspool of the Internet" message board known as 4chan has been taken offline on Tuesday, April 15 after suffering a massive hack.

This hack reportedly exposed 4chan's source code, user data, and a ton of confidential information about the site's administrators and moderators. Several screenshots reportedly to be from 4chan's backend were circulated online....

The data breached happened in August 2024.

Over the weekend, it started to be reported that Pokemon developer Game Freak suffered a massive data breach.
