On a boring weekend where there were no major holidays or events to warrant it, Steam yet again set a new concurrent user record. On Sunday, March 2, 2025 Valve's digital storefront saw a concurrent user peak of over 40 million people logged in at one time.

Steam has set another record for most online concurrent users. Today, Steam saw a concurrent user (CCU) record of 38,367,277 people.

To put this figure in perspective, in September 2023, the peak CCU for Steam was a pathetic 31,272,321. Just a month ago in August, Steam peaked at 37,266,324 people online at once. That means there were over 1 million additional Steam users online today for this new record.

During this record-breaking peak, Steam also saw over 10 million of those players actually in-game concurrently. This is the first time that Steam reached 10 million concurrent in-game players.
