Microsoft has confirmed that they are laying off upwards of 9,100 employees. This accounts for roughly 4% of its total workforce. This is also the third round of layoffs made at the company over the past few months.
Microsoft's Xbox division and slew of owned development studios, collectively known as Microsoft Gaming, are hit the hardest. Several games, both announced and not announced yet, were cancelled.
