Marvel's Avengers Adds Paid XP Boots, Despite Promises Not To

Fans are not at all happy.

Long ago, promises were made by developer Crystal Dynamics and publisher Square Enix that "pay-to-win" mechanics would never be introduced to Marvel's Avengers. For a while, that promise was kept. Today, that promise was broken.

With the release of Marvel's Avengers on Xbox Game Pass comes a new addition to the game: Paid XP boosts.

The in-game market for Marvel's Avengers was recently updated to include XP boost consumables...

Despite Report, Marvel's Avengers' Wakanda Campaign is Not 25 Hours Long

    Lost in translation.

An earlier report about the upcoming Wakanda campaign for Marvel's Avengers said that the new content would take players about 25 hours to complete. This report, presented by Entertainment Weekly, claimed that the 25 hours would be in addition to the content available in the base game.

Unfortunately, that seems to be a misinterpretation by the person who wrote the article. Square Enix clarified what was actually meant by this "25 hour" remark....

Latest Marvel's Avengers Update Publicly Displays Streamer IP Addresses

So yeah, maybe don't stream that game right now.

Crystal Dynamics issued a warning to streamers that are considering streaming Marvel's Avengers to the public. As of the recent 1.8.0 patch, the PlayStation 5 version of the game now shows the IP address of the person playing at the bottom of the screen.

After the patch went live, Crystal Dynamics took to Twitter to say that they were investigating an issue related to "a floating sting of text" appearing on players'...

How do we retain players? I got it!

On March 18, Marvel's Avengers will be updated in a number of ways. That is the date in which Hawkeye will be added to the roster. It will also be the date in which the game is given some next-gen improvements. That's the good news.
