Half-Life 2 Purchasing Methods

ok, if I have to start paying for mods that should be free, and started off for free, then F@*& Half-Life 2, it can go to hell. Thats what I orginally loved about this game(HL), cheap price, and mods, free mods, tons of variance etc. But now to cost adn arm and a leg for my favorite stuff? All i can say is I will be glad as hell as soon as someone hacks its ass and starts spreading it around the net on p2p, that will make up for the the stupid prices adn ridiculous commands.

Can you imagine if they charged $50 for HL2 and then, a few months later, charged $50 for CS2? I think they're smart enough not to do that.

i dont think paying 9.95 a month is worth it. You'd pay the price of a game in about 5 months. So what if they keep stalling new releases so that you'd be paying more than the actual price of the game. Are they saying they are going to release something at least once every 5 or so months so that ppl actually get their moneys worth?
