So from reading a few posts throughout this thread basically all the people who cant play the game want to take away all the fun of those who can?

I mean you took away our skill of bunnyhopping with a grenade launcher
The ability to dolphin dive with a support gun (got that back with my skillz)
Took away the helicopters missle capability
Destroyed the point in a tv missile on a helicopter
You DID kill everything that flew in the sky.

If you lot keep whining at everything then there will be nothing left in the game soon it will be "can we make it so vehicles cant run you over" or something rediculous. Stop complaining and play better, I'm a crap pilot yet I can manage to outrun AA occasionally, not only are you stopping yourselfs from learning by having insane AA your ruining the game who those have skills and took time to learn to fly.

Am I the only one who notices that its all the newer players who are complaining and not those of us who play the game alot and have done for a while and are good?

I don't think this is so much complaining but more brainstorming on how to balance and improve the game. No one has mentioned anything as rediculous as stopping people from running people over, so don't exagerate.

Although I do think there is a lack of pedestrian crossings in the game...

Actually being able to aim and shoot while jumping was regarded as needing skill something called co-ordination and reflexes.

BF2 is a game ffs not a real war. Every game since the old days of Quake 1 has had bunnyhopping in some form or another.... IF you cant handle it your not or shouldn't be a gamer...

Well that's a difference of opinion. I play the game as for me it is the best war simulation I know of, and it is a cracking game. My suggestions in threads have always leant towards making the game more like a simulation of existing modern war, that is just my preference.

As you said BH has been around for some time, personally I hate it and it would appear the majority of BF2 players also despise it, hence the inclusion to get rid of it in the patch.

Your a dying minority who will bend the rules to gain some form of advantage, you're only 1 step away from cheating.

BF2 along with every other game in the BF series was designed to be an arcade based game and never will be a War Simulator game.

And since when did you become the voice for DICE's intentions? If you're correct then why did DICE remove BH and all the other lame tactics?

I get the impression that DICE do want BF2 to be a close to real war experience, but one which is fun and arcady at the same time. BH and jumping whilst shooting/tossing C4 looked out of place and resulted in players using/exploiting lame tactics - so they removed them.

As it's a game and not real life, balance should come first and foremost over and above realism. People that complain sometimes have valid reasons for doing so. If they can't voice it on the BF2 forums then where else can they do it? I suggest that those that don't like listening to complaints or suggestions for improving BF2, simply go elsewhere.

The ground AA has not change. Now the Jets missiles are iffy againts helos. And to everyone that complains about air power, guess what it is call air power for a reason. Air power dominates everywhere, that's right boys and girls even in real life. Your $1,000 M16, or $5,000,000 tank, and your 15,000,000 helo are no match for a 40,000,000 state of the art mack 1+, 20MM gattlin gun, 500LBS bomb dropping jet. So get over it. It will never happen, jets are superior, will always be.

P.S. Before you accuse me of being a jet whore, go look at my stats i am not. Also all of you like karkand so much and city maps, i dont see you complaining about the armore whores, i find then a pain in the ass.

It will always be a balancing act in which you will never be able to please everyone.

I think EA/Dice knew that the AA's would be a problem/bone of contention, hence why thy're in such stupid positions on the maps.

End of my input is, jet maps aren't for me, it just doesn't seem like I'm actually competing when you die in a split second from a jet you can't see or shoot at. So I'll stick to non-jet maps until (and if) the situation changes. Call me a whiner (and some of you will, its a free world), but maybe you should meet up with me on an urban map and we'll see who's chief swingin' ****.
