I find it hard to judge the true accuracy of the M95 thanks largely to the oversised crosshairs. It could be as accurate as an M24, or as innacurate as an SVD for all I know. My estimate on it's accuracy is based on general knowledge.

I would say your estimate is correct, though. It is about as accurate as either of the semi-autos when they're perfectly stable. The problem with the semi's is that to gain that accuracy, you have to sacrifice the rapid-firing advantages. As such, I'm inclined to say that the M95 is, at least on average, more accurate than both the Druganov and the Type 88.

Ok guys, 1.2 is here. Time to get some info on the L96A1 and the variations made to the sniper rifle! Any help in either of these aspects would be greatly appreciated.

I have found that the sniperrifle can be goddamn useful in close combat if your fast on the trigger and you have a great aim..

EDIT: The L96A1 gives off a much less distinct sound that can be associated with some sort of explosion in the distance..

And that really adds to the stealth.

Thin crosshairs and the dots are real good for measure, not as good at that as the SVD though. Not to mention great accuracy..

So i would say that this is the rifle that kicks the M24's ass, just scored 63pts with it on sharqi..

So for all my fellow dedicated snipetards, this is a very reccomended unlock, this is a must get..

            L96A1

            - Aim for the most top spot of the head(like where the hair is), you will always get a headshot.
-Let them walk into your sights,. and shoot just milliseconds before they reach your crosshair.

-With the above said, aiming for top of head, you can amke extreme long distance kills.

I already recorded kills over 400 metres,a nd i am just since patch 1.2 enlisted as a Sniper.

(BH spawnpiont to Hill Flag in Mashtuur, that kind of distance)

Hmm... from what I've seen, the L96A1 is an M24 with sexier sights and a quieter bang. It's black, so it sticks out a little more when in camoflauge, but nothing too significant.

              Quite a nice option imo.

When you are shooting at true long range, (like max view distance on Dragon valley) this would probably score you a hit in the targets groin, unfortunately this isn't 1 shot kill:laugh:

You need to aim approx 1/2 a persons height, above their head at max range - to get a headshot.

And it is not the same when your target is under you or above you... shooting under your position makes the shot much accurate...

Yep, too get the teir 2 unlocks (SCAR-L, L96A1, G36E, MG36, P90 and the F2000/flashbang) you need to have Special Forces. I was bitterly dissapointed when I realised this when I earned an unlock after the 1.12 patch, only to find that I wouldn't be able to get a flashy new variation of the G36.

As for bullet drop, it obviously depends on range. The further away the target, the more you have to compensate by aiming up. Elevation is also a factor. When shooting at higher targets the bullet will 'drop' more. The opposite applies for targets at a lower elevation, making bullet drop less noticable.

my method is to go in an obvios place where they can find me, overlooking an air field or something, kill thm a few times and let them know where i am, put a claymore hidden in a bush between me and them, when they run towards me, boom, then i change position over looking the airfield AND the spot i have just been in, leaving another claymore in my previos position. they try and sneak up on me from my previos flank and they get to where i ws previosly and wonder where ive gone, then bang in the head, or bang from the claymore.
