You can mod with the BF2 Editor but its crashs while trying to add Walkers and APCs and many of other things.
To the guys and girls at DICE thanks for the update on the patch, Also is there going to be an editor for BF2142?, If you guys bring one out the game mightn't die so fast, CheersComment

 on both accounts.Originally posted by isaac331Gotta love me for making this thread :P.
I think I did over did with the title. :S
I think that's the first time I've ever seen the word "mightn't" used. :pOriginally posted by Burnoutsmightn't
I think they'll be a little boast, what with First Strike coming out, and if Tiberium sun adhere's to they're crazy-fast development schdule.
EDIT: Yes I know "mightn't" is a perfectly valid word to use, I just don't see it in conversation too much.
Consider it my random thought of the day.Comment

yes but only in limited form. there is alot of new code in 2142 that the BF2 editor isn't compatible with, aswell as things like loading objects with more than 26 parts. the most important thing is the debugger which is need to debug and find errors when modding.
the lack of a editor is the reason why there is not many 2142 mods/maps compared to BF2 mods.Comment

I'll keep playing 2142 as long as there are servers to play on, and as long as there are friends to play with.
Whoever came up with the idea of ranking up, unlocking equipment, dogtags, and awards is a magnificient bastard for appealing to the badge mongering, statpadding, tag hoardering little altered ego that live in most gamers. Although it would only keep the interest for a short while for most of the hardcore gamers, I do not think bf2 would be very alive and kicking hard if they did not have stats in place.
Only reason why i prefer 2142 over bf2 is i find the glitches more tolerable and the inherent lack of jets or other overly "difficult-to-counter" player behavior/tactics, except for players who sit in the titan guns all day.Comment

LOL like EA cares if people stop playing bf2142? Why would they? They get NO income from it anymore... you talk about it like it's a MMO for crying out loud! No, I don't think that they want to piss us all off by abondoning us, but don't expect much as this game is FREE to play after you buy it... and if people aren't buying it anymore.... then EA won't really care other then wanting to keep it's customers loyal so that when NEW games come out they buy them (or at least one would hope, but EA has been very bad on that account for the last few years, the keeping us customers happy thing...).Originally posted by Stilla-KillaYou guys better get your stuff together. I would say you're going to lose half or more of your player base by this christmas, what with other games that are coming out, if you don't.Comment

Haven't played for a good few weeks now. All things must pass as the saying goes. Gotta say this must stand as one of my fave games ever played - although this was the first online 1st person I ever played. £30 quid well spent in my opinion.
Look forward to the next gen game from DICE and glad to hear that Bad Company isn't destined for the PC. That game looks like console fodder to me. Would like to see the frostbite engine make an appearance on the PC in some form however.
Was seriously and unhealthily addicted for way too much time but have realised that there are other things to do. Outside and everything.
Till the next time :nod:Comment

Everybody keeps telling me about this 'outside' thing. What is it, exactly? I've googled it and it just gives me pictures of trees and stuff. Is it a mod for Oblivion?Originally posted by TrooperJacWas seriously and unhealthily addicted for way too much time but have realised that there are other things to do. Outside and everything.
