I agree. I spent time playing with the bots (they actually fly the chopper fairly well) and then once I learned what I was doing, took it my so-called skills online. From there is just practice against people. But you should know essentially what your doing by that point.

I can only imagine what kind of girls would be attracted to someone thats good in video games piloting, probably not the kind you wanna be with anyway.

Considering that Leonardo DiCaprio is an avid gamer, Id say its not the gaming that hinders "the game", its the person and personality. Considering the youth these days, I would personally be happier if a gamer kid was better with the ladies than another one of those pseudo-negro-gansta-50-wannabe punk with 0 manners and without a clue what respect really is. Those kind of kids "hit the girls", those, with 90 or less IQ and who would map Afganistan to Australia if they had to.

Anyway, on kind of on topic- Ive met and known gamer lasses that would blow your mind, and they are extremely fun as people, not to mention that you can actually talk to a girl about fragging, how cool is that?!

And Ive also met and known married men who wake up at 1 AM to play a few hours with their buds, because their corporate career ladder powerhungry (but fvcking hot to hell) wives wouldnt approve their "hobby" and would rather spend the cash the husband spends on his PC, on a vacation in Cuba...

wrong, they do no damage. In fact, for the 1.41 patch they replaced those guns with wind chimes.

Actually most vehicles don't fit this description at all Sloi. There is only 3.5 vehicles I can think of that are more powerful with 2 people in it in order of damage it can deal out to the enemy.

1. Attack Chopper (the biggest killing machine in the game).
2. Bombers (the second person can increase the damage done by this jet).
3. Tank (while the top gunner isn't too effective, it can do some damage and help keep the tank alive).
3.5 Blackhawk (the mini guns can do some damage, but not as much as it used to).

Every other vehcile doesn't fit this situation so most of the community are not "soloers". It just happens to be that the attack choppers (mainly the US and Chineese) don't suffer as much in performance from people soloing them, while the other vehciles would suffer more.

p.s. You could add your average jeep, but if someone switches to the gun they do leave themselves to be a target for too many other vehicles including AT infantry. That's why I didn't add it to the list.

By virtue of having a machine-gunner, the tank is more powerful with another person. The same applies to all other vehicles... even the boats: if more people are using a given vehicle's functionality, it is necessarily more powerful than when one player switches to use another of the vehicle's functionalities. That's probably not at all what you're referring to, though...

The fact that some vehicles appear to get more benefits from people soloing them is simply a matter of players finding ingenious ways of using them in a way that maximizes their returns while minimizing their losses: you could do very similar things with the other vehicles, but most people haven't bothered to because it's kind of pointless when you're nowhere near the top of the food chain.

BF2 vehicles are really not that powerful, nor do they require that much skill to "move" (as in operate, dont confuse with operating efficienctly). If we had a sim-like game with vehicles, we wouldnt have an issue with 2-3 soldier operated vehicles. But its a miniature game by all standards. All that needs to be done is proper paper-scissor-rock balance.

It's downright disrespectful (some would add idiotic) to hinder your teammates by misusing assets when there are far better venues to learn. It's inconsiderate... and yes, I'm aware of the apparent irony, what with a soloer saying that and all: the difference is, a soloer won't be costing his team an enormous amount of tickets. Quite the contrary, in fact.

I am beginning to love it. Im great at it. Just today I solo'ed on Dragon Valley and got 96 point (around 45 kills, 3-5 deaths). It was so fun, but it wasn't easy. It takes skill, you know :p

Its OK to solo if you dont have a gunner. Its on the other hand NOT OK to kill your gunner just so you can solo.
