Re: Chopper soloing: a problem or an art?

everyone hates it when i get the chopper too. they moan that i redline them for being ****, they moan that i dont pick them up when i rearm and the enemy moan when i kill them. i dont give a ****, if i wanted to die every 30seconds from having a nub piloting or missing tv s hots, i may as well just keep hitting the suicide button.
they seem to forget that i win the game for the team by taking out every tank and chopper on the map and tv'ing whole squads trying to cap our flags lol
**** em i say. they whinge at everything i do, planes, choppers, tanks, medics, snipers e.t.c

Re: Chopper soloing: a problem or an art?

I was just soloing on Daqing and some people were complaining that I was baseraping them. First of all, I always gave them a chance to get airborne before doing anything at the uncap: East Oil, however, does not count. If taking you out when you're on the ground helps my team, you're not getting up. The only reason I made an exception for the uncap was the server's arbitrary rule preventing me from doing my job 100%. I shouldn't be denied the possibility of stopping USMC from moving forward from that base anymore than East Oil, Refinery or any other...

These rules are just in place to stop people from f*cking crying and whining all night long because they don't have the smarts to deal with the situation properly. If they can't fight, they die... simple.

Don't worry Sloi, we all know that you were just concerned about your team and trying to help them.

Don't worry Gen.Vlade, we all know that you were just passing through and making the usual comments.

Fact is, those "don't attack the uncap" rules are retarded and prevent helis/jets from keeping the enemy players out of the game, making it easier for the ground troops to capture flags and strengthen our position. You know it's true, so stop following me around threads like BigPoppa trying to make me look like something I'm not.

Isn't there a Wake Island tank you should be repairing right now?

Solo-ing is an exploit esp. if it is used to break AA missile lock.

It's a team play game. Stop being selfish and pick up a gunner, if available.

Switching seats while in flight should be disabled, plain and simple.

Re: Chopper soloing: a problem or an art?

Shush to all those who cant fly for crap but have tried their best to help the team... by falling into the ground as big black piece of charred metal.

I would personally vote YES if DICE patched Helos into non-seat-switchable helicoper or used some other nerf that would screw up a pilots chance to use both seats ONLY, if they also introduced a very specific and heavy licencing system for vehicles that would make you all (sorry for the word) newbies work hard to actually be able to use the seat with reliable effectiveness.

I spent 2 hours in LAN server just to adjust to jets controls, about 50 hours in bombing and MG practice. Looking back I see dedication and desire for improvement. If you dont have any ambition but to farm score thanks to your pilot, you should be redlined. If you log in to a 64 player server in order to practice, you should be redlined. The game is out 2 years now, peoples skill is too high to let a newbster ruin the game for an entire team.

Whoever is using the "teamplay" as an excuse should use simple logic.

A soloer ruins the fun for one man and helps to save the day for the whole team.
A newbie gunner gets both himself and the gunner killed, lets the team battle with vehicles.

Which of these is a better teamplayer?

Your a teamplayer when you co opereate and comunicate with other players. NOT when your soloing in a chopter.

big whoop, who spends hours practicing on single player, thats just plain stupid, i learned how to fly in DC and i am a super expert in the art of helo flying. so when BF2 came out i was a certified leet expert for helo's and planes. when people see my name they fear me and run like scared little girls to their mommies. oh and teamplayer doesnt apply to soloing. u should be called a spoiledlittlebratplayer instead.

Yes, because dying with your team, is teamwork!

Killing a high amount of enemies with one person, is not teamwork!

LOL, how stupid can one be. Please log in to any of the servers and count on your left hand fingers how many people apply under your terms.

Like I said, its the actions and the result that define a teamplayer, not his use of VOIP or willingness to die with his teammate.

And BigPappa, so you ****ed up other peoples play time just so you could "learn" flying? Thats awesome, what a wonderful teamplayer you are.

We all bought the damn game so we all have equal rights of the damn chopper, just because your better does NOT mean you should have the chopper!
To the guys who say ' go practice on an empty server'. Some of us dont have the time to do that, we just want to play the game, which has choppers in it , which we can use! Do you practice ground pounding on empty servers or SP? NO i dont think so.

Sounds like a womanly thing to say, waaah_wah. Communication doesn't replace tickets...

Sloi (as gunner): "There's a chopper, upper-left near the crane."
Nub Pilot: "Hold on, I'll give you a shot."
*Takes a million years to turn*
                            **Get shot down**
Sloi (as gunner): "Communication is great!"
Nub Pilot: "Yeah, isn't it? Now we get to lose because it's not a substitute for raw skill!"

                              Pointless to argue

                              Sloi better example

                              Me: "Enemy APC spotted"
                              Nub pilot: "..." (silence)
                              Me: "Enemy Infantry spotted"
                              Nub pilot: "..." (silence)

And now pick on of these common scenarios:
                              1.
                              Me: "Enemy helicopter spotted"
                              Nub pilot: "..." (silence)

                              Console:
                              xxx mi28 me
                              xxx mi28 Nub pilot

                              2.
                              Me: "Enemy jet spotted"
                              Nub pilot: "..." (silence)

                              Console:
                              xxx mig29 me
                              xxx mig29 Nub pilot

                              3.
                              me is no more
                              Nub pilot is no more
