I dont really mind armor that much since I play alot of AT anyways its mainly the aircrafts I want to see gone. I know your all going to say "hit them with the AT rocket" or "jump in the AA" but for anyone that actually attempts this they know its never really that simple.

Against helicopters its sort of rediculous, for one you survive less shots from their tiny pee shooter gun shooting beside you than they do AT rockets, for two AA not only doesnt kill in 1 shot but you have to account for flares as well, in the end your basically guaranteed to die.

So how often do you frequent servers with these custom rules against the ROE? You know your stats will be wiped if caught, oh silly me that's right, you don't care about stats.

In that case how about posting the ip address of this server so we can check out this example of squad based IO?

I'll play IO to see how the apc/tank spawnkillers adapt... or do without. I rarely see the armor being put to good use anyway.

But what would a Karkand sniper know about armour anyway?
Did you know there are actually 13 maps in vanilla BF2?

how often...hmmm....like when i entered the server and found out it was set to no apc no armour and had to adapt pretty quick before gettig told "oi you, no apc!! else kicked", as i said a few times, on a couple of different servers, unsuprisingly they dont advertise the fact before you get in, that those are their rules

i wouldnt have a foggiest if something like that was against ROE, i play whats out there, not my job to police it, am aware now though so will be sticking to normal servers, but it was fun at the time.

and i'm getting sick and tired of people trying to alter the bf series game play. what makes the bf series so unique is the fact you use ground,air and sea (well in bf42/DC) to fight. but i see your point mlkmnz.

and still many servers around those days.

What are you Nostradamus or something. Of course it will effect the original conquest mode. Infantry players now sometimes join normal map rotations for a change, or whatever, and vice versa.

The result is less full servers in both modes.

The result of that is less appealing servers available to a player considering joining a game somewhere.

The result of that is less players joining, which leads to servers being closed down.

And how about yourself, an exclusively Karkand medic and point whore extreme. How about you STFU. To call yourself a groundpounder is a self compliment, the true description is point whore.

People whining over the delayed 1.4 patch that they want so badly..

Yet at any moment they could all load up 1.4 BETA 2 and play 64 player CTD free IO mode to their hearts content yet they don't.

Why? I think we all know why.

It's funny thinking back on these forums and others I saw TONS of posts from people asking "Is 1.4 IO mode beta ranked??". What?!? It's not ranked! Screw that!

These people are so transparent it's disgusting.

IO mode should be an unranked only option bottom line and if you've got a problem with that you're automatically a stat padder in my eyes. It keeps the point whores out of IO mode, the people who really want IO mode can have it and because all the countless thousands of point whores are forced to stay in regular BF2 the impact on the regular servers will be minimal. Everybody is happy.. except for the point whores which is why DICE would never do this. Point whores = more ranked server = more ridiculously high ranked server fees from DICE.

dam I see this agrument much. maby because EA had closed the BETA servers in europa for already 1,5 months.

also don't be so hypocrite.
You don't want people to point whore on IO servers but you do they allow them to whore on the ruglar version and it can't effect you, because it are two different game mod versions.

By the way infrantry aspect is part of the game for many years, also from the begining there where infrantry servers in bf1942 and they are still running today. (6 years from now)

Meh, who cares. The tanking isn't on infantry maps so I think a 4:1 ratio is pretty good. I specialise in engy, it's low scoring and I don't care.

At least I'm not afraid to put my stats where my mouth is, and I've never claimed to be anything more than an average player. In fact I've never even claimed to be that good.

All a bit rich coming from someone who won't front up with his own numbers.

One claim I will make however is that I'm a very experienced gamer, more so than most who participate here.

Another thing, anyone who resorts to STFU in my book has nothing to say, no point to make, no idea to express, so why they don't bother just to say nothing is beyond me.
