  • PSA: Big PlayStation Store Sale is Live - Offers Double Discounts for Plus Subscribers

Some games can be had for up to 80% off.

Sony just kicked off a big double discount sale for a bunch of PlayStation 4 games, a decent amount of PlayStation 3 titles, and a handful of Vita games. I say that this is a "double discount" because that's what Sony is saying. There is already a sale price for non PlayStation Plus subscribers. But if you are a Plus subscriber, there is an additional discount on top.

This means that non-Plus subscribers can get up to 40% off on select titles during this sale, while Plus subs can get up to 80% off.

    This...

BioWare Re-Confirms New Dragon Age but Delays Anthem

BioWare says that they are still working on a new Dragon Age game. I'm sure many fans have been a bit afraid about the fate of the franchise ever since the tepid response to Mass Effect: Andromeda. Don't get me wrong, Mass Effect: Andromeda sold quite well according to EA themselves. It just happened to be panned by both critics and consumers alike, mainly due to its multitude of bugs, somewhat boring story, and poor mission design.

Today's confirmation of more Dragon Age came from Mark Darrah, the Dragon Age executive producer.
That is about the extent of the details that were provided. We have nothing mor...

  • Mass Effect: Andromeda Patch 1.05 Provides Massive Improvements to Eyes and Emotions

As promised, BioWare released the 1.05 patch today for Mass Effect: Andromeda. The patch actually does quite a bit more than initially advertised, which is a good thing.

The full list of multiplayer changes is fairly substantial and is a good start to patching this game up. There are no additional changes for the game's single player from the patch notes provided the other day....

(Review) Go Home, Mass Effect: Andromeda, You're Drunk

    No man's Mass Effect.
For the sake of this review, let me just state that as of this writing I have not yet finished playing through Mass Effect: Andromeda. However, I have put in about 69 hours into the game, which includes a mix of both the game's single player and multiplayer content, a bulk of which has been spent in the game's single player content. This will not be a traditional review. This will instead be a quick look at some of the highs and the many lows that this game has delivered to me in these nearly three days' worth of play time. Over the past couple of weeks, my journey through Andromeda has been a rollercoaster of emotions, feelings, and pains. See, I love the original Mass Effect titles. I recently replayed through all of them in anticipation for the rel...

Mass Effect: Andromeda Review Scores Sitting in the Mid-70s

It looks like the embargo on reviews for Mass Effect: Andromeda lifted earlier tonight. Both OpenCritic and Metacritic have their initial scores already in from a variety of outlets. At present, OpenCritic has Andromeda sitting at an average score of 75%. This is across all platforms.

Metacritic has the PC and PlayStation 4 versions of Andromeda at 73% while the Xbox One version somehow edges out an additional 3% to (currently) give it an average score of 76%. In general, it looks like a bulk of the praise focuses on the game's fast-paced and more customizable combat, the added mobility that the jump-jet adds, the sound design, voi...
