A big reveal is coming next week.

Just yesterday, a couple of insiders said that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf had a new name and that new name would presumably be revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday.

Today, BioWare just up and told the world the new name for Dreadwolf. That new name for Dragon Age 4 is Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Industry insider and Giant Bomb member Jeff Grubb, made a somewhat cryptic statement earlier today during the Kinda Funny Gamescast. At one point during the show, Grubb says that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will not be at the Xbox Games Showcase but that Dragon Age will be.

It's not even March yet.

Electronic Arts joins the rest of the gaming industry today in announcing a huge number of employee layoffs. The studio will mass layoff 5% of its total workforce, which equates to about 670 people. Today's announcement from EA comes just a day after Sony announced that they were laying off 900 people across multiple PlayStation studios.

The latest on EA comes from a February 28 report by IGN. IGN says that a note was sent out to EA staff today....

Another win for game industry unionization.

Earlier this morning, QA testers working on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf voted unanimously to form Canada's first video game labor union. The motion was first filed on April 20, 2022. The vote concluded today with a final vote of 16-0 in favor of unionizing.
