Treyarch is moving on from development of Call of Duty Zombies for Modern Warfare as the studio sets sights on future game development. Speaking with CharlieIntel, Treyarch says that they are moving "focus to something exciting on the horizon." A number of multiplayer maps feature horribly bad player spawn locations.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 just came out today and already Activision has had to step in to remove a number of maps from the multiplayer.
