Turtle Rock Studios say that they will no longer be adding any additional content to Back 4 Blood. They will instead shift their full attention over to creating their next game. Tencent has announced that they have acquired Turtle Rock Studios, the development studio responsible for Back 4 Blood and Left 4 Dead. The press release sent out today says that Tencent acquired Turtle Rock Studios' parent company, Slamfire, Inc.

Though Turtle Rock Studios is now owned by Tencent, the studio will reportedly retain its independent operations in their California based location....

Some sad news today as we share with you word that the four-player co-op shooter, Back 4 Blood, has been delayed. The team took to Twitter today to inform fans that they will now release the game on October 12, 2021.

The game was originally supposed to be released on June 22nd. I mean it is 2021 after all and delays of this nature should be expected by now.
