The team has a tentative early 2023 release date in mind.

There has been a decent smattering of new Dead Space Remake (or simply Dead Space) information that came out today. First off, the development team gave fans a behind the scenes look at the audio work that is going into the remake.

EA Motive took to Twitch earlier today to talk about the ongoing development of the Dead Space remake. While the game is still super early in development, the team had a lot to talk about today when it came to what they hope to keep the same, what they hope to expand upon, and what they hope to introduce to the franchise.

No, the remake won't suddenly become Assassin's Creed in space.

Eric Baptizat was the game director for Assassin's Creed Valhalla at Ubisoft. He left the company after being there for 16 years to join EA Motive and is now the lead on the upcoming Dead Space remake.

This news was first shared by Baptizat via LinkedIn. This reveal also confirms a report made in June that he had parted ways from Ubisoft to join EA motive on a then unannounced project. Baptizat apparently...

EA gave fans a short teaser.

As previous leaks and rumors suggested, we did indeed see a new Dead Space revealed today at the very end of EA Play Live. EA Motive is leading the development on this complete remake of the original Dead Space. It's being built from the ground up using the Frostbite engine and is coming only to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The original Dead Space was first released 12 years ago.
