IF ya luv CS, u would support it no matter how crappy it is.( pple like rze ). U would just need to forget what u learn and learn new stuff in order to kick the crap out of newbs. Most pple I think are just to scared of being a NEWB, again.



BTW when 1.3 came out, some pple threatened to leave........but how come I still see some of them around here.........

The first time I played CS 1.4 I also thought: "Im gonna quit CS I cant even jump". And every1 had major lagg. The next day I just found out you just musnt jump but strafe while getting shot or just dissapear behind a crate or sumtin. And I like the new aiming. Now you cant be a Rambo anymore. I dont even care about recoil I just learned myself not to look at the crosshair but where the bullets hit.

Just dont whine and youll be fine.

hey- I have played a full weekend of 1.4 i'd say over 30 hours and i have made a list of bad things and good. first off id like to say that i have never bunnyhopped in counter-strike so i cannot complain about the jump modification. i have noticed that it is harder to hit someone while rushing them because ur crosshairs are like 3 inches apart!... crouching while shooting has become even more accurate & deadly now. one thing i hated about counter-strike is that its soooo damn boring when ur dead right away, so the new spectator modes r a BIG plus, it gives u something to do while ur dead. it has become more difficult to play counter-strike because it used to be a game of luck, now its more skill. just need practice and u'll be killin like never b4. most of the maps work well with this mod. the new ones-havana & chateau, are amazing, more realisti,c and very strategic like. the only thing u guys missed is the shooting through walls and boxes. ex. behind boxes, behind wall in aztec by the bridge. i think u need to feel confident when ur behind a wall that u wont get hit it just plain sux but that's my opinion and would like that to be fixed in the next release. i want this to be posted with some arguments and agreements from you guys.

Why do they even have mailbags anymore? They only support ONE side no matter if somebody has a good opinion or not. If somebody puts down lots of facts and a good opinion, instead of posting "Good point" they instead write "You have to learn how to spell" or some other crap like that.

I myself love 1.4 however I did find a few problems. There is still a crapload of lag. Not to mention some of the skins dont work anymore. I re-pasted all my skins but my colt skin will only work when on the ground

The original skins suxors. Also they totally ****ed up the mac10!!! In 1.3 it owned (at close range it can take on any weapon). Now the mac10 is nothing! Using ALL of its ammo clip you cannot kill anyone. Also T's cannot move the hostages anymore...oh well this is good for everyone else bad for me :)

Anyway except for the mac10 and skins being screwed up otherwise 1.4 is a good version. I like the jumping and slower movement except now it is very difficult to jump into windows and on top of crates- by the time you do the enemy is kicking your ass. Just my 2 cents...

ROFL, yea lets take out shooting thru walls! What a great suggestion, fits with all the other changes. Lets get rid of reloading and flashbangs too, all this stuff just makes the game too hard.

I just have to say now, that this was a n00b patch complete with everything they want in it. And before you start sayin "Bunny hoppin is for n00bs", listen up.



n00bs think: Para must be the best weapon cuz it costs the most right? So n00bs buy the para and spam, 1.4 made sure this is better.

n00bs think: Kill that guy that is in front of me! They dont even bother to move, just stand still, they dont jump either, so of course 1.4 made this better.

n00bs never think: to walk. CUZ THEY DONT KNOW HOW. So of course 1.4 is there to screw all the people that used to walk.

n00bs think: Plant the bomb right here. No, I'm not gonna try to plant it in a fancy location, BECAUSE I DONT KNOW HOW.

n00bs think: Defuse the bomb!! Just let go of the mouse and shout at the monitor: DEFUSE! they dont think to look and shoot someone while theyre defusing CUZ THEYRE FREAKIN n00BS!!!

n00bs think: AWP is the best sniper because its one shot kill. They dont buy the scout cuz it takes 2 shots. So not only did they make the scout inaccurate in air, but EVERYONE is floored so there is no way in hell someone is gonna dodge an AWP shot.



Thats alot of changes... to make a good n00b game. Yeah, it makes it more realistic because nobody jumps anymore, right? Look at the most realistic game you could get - RainbowSix - IT FREAKIN SUCKS, NOBODY PLAYS IT! So all you realistic n00bs can go off and play RainbowSix all you want, because you just want a realistic game right? All luck and no skill. After playing for ALMOST 3 yrs, who would have thought Counter-Strike would have ended like this?????

the jumping modification was needed, and welcome. This isnt UNREAL or Quake.........crosshairs nice addition, doesnt seem to effect aiming though...........

The overhead map rocks, especially with first person window and overhead map mode at the same time....lots of headshots it seems but thats probably because the aimboxes have been fixed, i mean think about it, chances of hitting someone in the head with an automatic weapon that climbs as it fires is really high, same for the spread of a shotgun pattern. One pellet in the eye is enough to kill. One thing though nobody is addressing, is the ingame lag alot of people are seeing, not latency problems, just constant freezing,......thought it was my server at first but people on lots of servers are comlaining about the constant freeze-ups.....and plenty of my friends who admin thier own servers are complaining about getting dumped when the maps change......an old problem come back to haunt us?

but for the most part, it rocks, new maps are awesome, I especially like the being able to break the boards and potted plants in chateau...............so hats off to valve and sorry for you quakers who miss your jumping so much, no RPG's or Rail Guns here.......

I'm with most of what coRd said, I would add that n00bs can't aim well when moving, or be effective with a pistol, so lets F@ck that up too.



I certainly wouldn't call the jumping realistic though.. I mean who comes to a near stand still after jumping? Whatever, jumping is the least of my concern with this patch.

Well you guys are gonna have fun if your playing with some hackers, when you can`t fight against them Sierra just made there(the hackers)job easier! And Im still pissed that I can`t play HL(because of that damn 1.1.0.9 patch!) or any other mods!, damn you sierra, and thanks for releasing such a buggy patch...(sarcasim there...)
