I think the new additions suck balls, i dont need cheats, and i dont need to bunny hop. In 1.3 i hated it because when you were about to kill someone (they had like 11 health, you have 70-100) they always seemed to get a random headshot right before the killing bullet is fired into their newbie ass. The only good thing about 1.3 was that when you died with a nade pin pulled it dropped the ground and still blew up. I thought maybe the fuckers at the CS team would turn CS back to 1.1. Stupid me they made it even shittier. I remember the good ol days of 1.1 when a T saw a CT he would crouch down ACTUALLY AIM WITH HIS AK and blew the fucker away. Now, people just run around like little fags and go full auto and they get a random headshot. A lot of people (n00bs to the game) will say, "well if you don't like it don't play" Fuck them, its sad to see a good game destroyed. Well i might actually take the advice of these newbs and say goodbye to CS and start playing games like SOF or SOF2 (which comes out this month).

I have another problem, i used to cheat untill about CSG 6.00, thats when i joined the CS nation. Everything was going fine untill this new patch and CSG 8.00. Now apparantley i am using hacks according to CSG. It says "cheats detected on Itsfuntolose69 WonID ------ OGC 7.X"

i have played since beta 5 and i believe that the worst change was 1.1 when the colts scope was changed to a silencer. its power should have gone down but left the scope. i have gone unhit by AWMs for months b4 1.4 but now im questioning coming out of the tunnel in militia. i like the rest just jumping (er lack of it) sucks. i am now using the smoke nades for more then just lag bombs now though. but i have found in maps like militia it is a waste to even try and jump

You don't even need to jump to kill the jumpers, if your aim is good then shoot them back, and they go flying. It always worked. Besides who was complaining about bunnyhopping in 1.3? I mean, you didn't hear nearly as much complaining about bunnyhopping than you do that they removed it.

could'nt the same be said for the cheaters who use wall hacks and aimbots? they obviously had fun with those things, but now they cant do that because the maijority of cs player did not find it funny when some cheating loser shot through a brick wall and always seems to get a headshot..on every shot.

these changes happened for a reason,, because there are people who can tell the difference between BS and good honest fun.

and now your mad because the players who did'nt hop and actually focused on what this game was about OWN you, don't be mad that your ill earned 13-4 score dwindled down to a mere 1-20.

Congrats, going from 0-15 to 15-7 is a good accomplishment... wait no, its a different game ur playing. Silly n00b, if hopping all the time was so tactless then why didnt everyone jump? All I'm saying is out of all the strategies out there, they HAD to take out jumping? It takes a long time to master (no, not a n00b skill) and people who DIDNT jump were STILL able to kill them. So why take it out if it werent unfair? Nobody was complaining...(except n00bs like you who have HORRIBLE AIM and have to spam to get some kills)

And you could say all that you want to about people threatning to leave Counter-Strike in the older versions, but this one is MUCH different. You cant compare making a gun crappier, or changing some features with DRASTICALLY changing the gameplay. The whole game is different, and if they wanted to remove jumping, why not do it in the first place, or at least announce: WE'RE GONNA REMOVE JUMPING, HALF OF YOU SKILLED PLAYERS WILL BE SCREWED!!!!

I say this version was created for new players as in "noobs". I guess this will totally change CS for good. CS will never be the same again. Well it's fun while it lasted.

Yes, the shooting of the game is somewhat random, however aiming is not. You may have lucky shots now and then but the compensation of the random bullets takes skill. Compromising the randomness is what shall be mastered after the burst fire attempt. Aiming is an important skill in the game that takes alot of experience. In addition, jumping raised that level of the game. A "n00b", or experienced player, cannot predict where his bullets will go when he jumps with a certain gun. Also, decreasing the speed of walking in the game straight up slows the fast pace game of counter strike. This creates no stealth. 1.4 made too many fatal errors, thus changing the game of counter strike to what it was to what it is now. Do you like the game from before? Or do you like the game now? Maybe it's a question of experience....?

The guys who practiced and worked hard to achieve mad nice aiming skills should do well regardless of whether or not the opposing player jumps substantially. I have a friend who has wicked aim who does not jump too much extent. He does not whine that he got killed by some "lame hopper" (which is not too frequently bcuz of his skill), rather he accepts it. The only thing I've heard him complain of sometimes was the 1 shot awp which was taken off. Also, when ryumusha says go play quake it reminds me. Personally, i think Quake and Counter Strike are different because of the aiming and guns. Who knows maybe Counter Strike was ultimately destined to be a game of spammage (which is the reason why I've played CS for so long: non-spammage). In addition, I don't think Rainbow Six is a bad game. I only don't like it because of the internet play and freedoms that Counter Strike (had). Hah, maybe the creators should make the life like Rainbow Six ( a 1 shot kill ). Hey, you like realism right? But what the hell do i know. Its like coRd said,

I'm sorry, but aiming within 1 foot of someones head with the AK and holding fire is NOT aiming skill, its common sense. Its not hard to do, its look at the opponent.



I was watching the fragordie video yesterday, and I missed 1.3. It's sad, but I really do miss it.

Hmmm, I'm wondering why more ppl dont bring up the menu and crashing problems, I think those are the biggest problems with 1.4. To me the gameplay is great, i love the jumping, the spectator mode is amazing, the crosshairs are cool, and I believe its an overall better game now. It seems a bit easier, but all the more better.

CS 1.4 -The downfall of the cs community. It should be the administrators privelage to decide the change in the game, not the software creators. We (administrators) run their servers, which entails spending our money to host their software. The changes are far and beyond anything I would even consider worthwhile. The game is not even close to becoming realistic. If anyone in their right mind believes this, they're a fool. Look how many people are now going to quit or just continue posting garbage ranting on and on about how much the game has turned into a piece of crap. If they don't listen to the administrators and use their feedback, then they should work damn hard at pleasing the community (players). Whose money is it anyways? Someone else has made a very good point in several areas concerning the lack of realism so I won't reiterate. Their are no positives that I have heard about from players that play on my server that would constitute a necessity for change. And the cheating...that's what admins are for. Stupid excuse for an update - except on valve's part where there is a client bug in 1.1.0.8 that they had known about that they waited so long to fix? (if they even did) which allows servers to run commands remotely on client machines. read about it here if you care.

I usually play as a CT and 1st time playing i bought ammo for the USP and it had 100 rounds plus the clip, making a total of 112 rounds. Is that a bug in 1.4, on my server, or on my computer??? If its not a bug, it should be carried over to the other guns...

I feel that CS 1.4 is a great disapointment to most all veteran players in the community. Not to say that I am the best at CS but the new version seems to be catering to the needs of newer CS players. With the jump lag- and weapon switching lag- it seems the only way to play is to run straight at the enemy to kill them. All skill involved is now gone. Before a skilled player could basically avoid gunfire and accurately kill the enemy. This of course does not apply to real life, but it did take skill to do, and it was more fun. Now you have to stand there and shoot making it a new players dream. I think that this will greatly decrease the number of cs players due to the lack of fun and skill involved with the game. After all it is a game, and is not real life so it should not be made to so closely resemble it. However, the first person view and dead bodies is cool. With every update that has come out we've all had to adjust our playing style a little bit, but this new version completely changes everything. And im sorry to say but after 3 years of play- I've actually quit playing.(I have so much free time now!!) I hope Sierra makes some kind of new patch for it soon so i can resume one of my favorite hobbies.

i posted another comment but i just wanted to say more- i think the whole jump lag and weapon switching lag also makes the games a more camping sort of game. skilled rushers cant lead by example with their successful lone rushes to bombsite anymore. And i know that it was meant to be more of a team game- anyone who plays knows that its far from that. Usually theres 3 rushers out of 10 players on a team, and the whole team rushes only after those 3 rushers keep killing the other team and winning the round. First person perspective is cool but now i get to watch what campers see while im dead because i rushed alone into 5 enemies at bombsite. Some will say that im just stupid for rushing without the team- but rushing is a big part of the fun involved with the game. camping almost always ruins the fun. I REALLY HOPE THEY CHANGE THE GAMEPLAY BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS IN CS 1.3 AT LEAST.
