And its not a lie you stupid gimp it was an estimation. I'm sure they believed that the dates they set were achievable at the time. I doubt very much that theyre giving false release dates just to anger countless fuckwits like yourself.

There are many games to keep your occupied at the moment if you wish like Warcraft III, Broodwar , Raven Shield Demo I mean c'mon think outside the box for once and enjoy something else before you blow your brains out for Counter Strike.



No offense CS is a great game but there are many other great games too...

I'm probably wrong on this, but most of the angst stemming from the whole ordeal is the fact that the steam website hasn't been updated in a while (months?). think about it like this - you tell your boss "Hey! I'm going to try and get (insert job task here) done in an hour cuz I'm the pimpshiz like that!"...then a month goes by before you get it done. Granted, we aren't paying for this beta, but the fact remains that there are those of us who have payed for the game. The CS dev team are employees...which means they get a salary for doing good work. Not updating a web page for months, alienating your customers, and leaving it up to a community leader to fill the community in is NOT doing work. I understand that debugging a program takes a substantial amount of time, but updating a web page, or leaving a thread on a message board takes all of five minutes. What's worse, if you don't take a break from debugging, you start going insane...which means that anyone from the dev team could've taken a break out of the strenuous process of debugging to swing by a random message board and say, "Guys, sorry to let you down, but it's just not being released today. Look for it in the future. Give us 5 years and it'll be all peachy."

Its good that they posted that its coming soon under the steam site rather than giving a release date. Say if they delay it again people will flip out. I would rather have this than a release date.
