CS 1.6 BETA Update

its funny.. at first i hated 1.4.. and through the whole thing versions life span i hated it, then 1.5 came and i sorta liked it.. there was nothing really different besides a few server changes and whatnot but i still liked it... maybe because i have beef with the number 1.4 and because 1.5 just soundeds cooler.. imo 1.5 > 1.4

it's not the end of the world, file-planet queue lines would be thousands strong anyways...I usually wait for about a week before downloading and play some other game in the downtime.

haha, i love the comments on this site. whenever someone tells me im a pessimist i just read what the loyal CSN members have to say about whatever. then i feel like the glass is half full again. I cant wait until 1.6 comes out so people can bitch about how valve "ruined the game" and how "1.3>1.4>1.5>1.6." i love you guys.

Actually, this is called 1.6 BETA, which means the product should have bugs, thats part of the fun of getting it, at least in my opinion it is. If this was 1.6 final we were talking about i wouldn't care so much, because i do want that to be bug free, but this is a damn beta, the bugs are part of it. The only bug that should be delaying the game this long is a bug so huge that it makes the game totally un-playable, other than that i don't care how many little bugs it has because i like to see them and have fun with them. The only bug i couldn't stand is the knife animation being broke again, they break that in every beta, you would think they know how to keep that working by now.



Also, if they aren't 100% sure that they can release their product on a certain day, why give an exact release date? that is extremely bad PR, why not just give a time-frame of maybe 2 or 3 weeks in January and then when they are 100% sure they can pull off the release on a certain day they can post the exact release date and get the hype they need.
