1.6 BETA Update

They've done this before with 1.6 BETA I believe. I'd expect the update to come within a week.

Then again -- I don't remember what I did last night.



I remember leaving Steam open cause it said CS was updating - this morning it's done, but I don't notice a differance.

I'm too lazy to go back and edit my last 2 post but not lazy enough to point out the fact I jokingly said "extension isn't the word I was looking for" when I very well knew that I meant to type "extinction" but spellchecker suggest "extension" when I originaly misspelled extinction and I didn't catch it so instead of editing it I let it carry on for 4-5 post and responses.

after not playing 1.6 beta since about update 1 for steam .. i might actually try it again :P as these bots sound pretty net :P



u never know .. re-intal + update are worth it :S (has 50 minutes of cs pdate to go)

on to 1.6 the menus shouldn't be a problem if you use a buy script, and rizzuh's cs helper works for 1.6. The AK is still the same as it always was you've probably just been playing on laggy servers. and the glock is actually viable in single shot mode now.



the only think i don't like is the changes to the scoreboard, what the hell was valve thinking there.

Why update CS anyway? 1.5 is close to perfection, and in 1.6 they just slaughter counter-strike.

Why do people say this with every CS update since CS beta 5.2 or something?



New CS versions keep the game alive for people like me.. CS 1.5 is starting to get old..

niwaez... 1.6 kinda co0l... wif the redone glock n all (my fav handgun now...) best update next to the 1.3>1.4 changes for me... hope to see new strats with the shields being used... very exciting...

1.6 uses built in aliases for the weapons so you can bind keys to purchase weapons in game. Don't need buy scripts...

Dream on, we're at the point where beta game versions don't even come out, just beta changelogs. Personally I can't wait for the 1.7 beta changelog, that one is going to rock, I heard it'll be in html.

Whoah! HTML? Sounds rockin'! Yeah my Steam updated some stuff, but alas, no changes have taken place! I say away with Steam, and back to original downloading of updates. Too many people at my school are asking me where/how/why/who to download steam and use it!

hmm . so far.. i have updated steam etc .. now when launching the game .. it launces to the 2 ct scrren (no icons) and then dies .. :/
