Madden NFL 16 (read our Madden NFL 16 review here) and the PlayStation 4 have topped the charts for the NPD sales figures for August 2015. Madden was the best selling software title while the PlayStation 4 was again the top selling hardware for the month.
To date, 7 million Amiibo figures have been sold. Nintendo is also pleased with the sales of Splatoon, which has now sold over 600,000 units sold. The PlayStation 4 exclusive Until Dawn placed quite well especially when you consider it was only on sale for four days worth of tracking.
It's going to be really interesting to see how the rest of the year plays out. Last year, Microsoft managed to have a few months where the Xbox One was the top seller, a feat that came about due to steep discounts and bundle deals.
