You may be intrested to Check out the Sir. Server some time then. We have the Demo quailty set to 10. Also all the demos can be found here - http://bfr.sircommunity.com/ (Thanks to Elxx we have a nice system for finding the correct BFR files.)

Alright here is a little up from me.

Filming has been done to about 35%. I am currently working on animations for the trailer, i just need to film another huge scene for the trailer so you guys know what to expect for the move.

Currently Im trying to get some voice acting done, which ahs not gone the way i wanted to that needs to be re-done. I really dont have much to say as progress has been slow, but when i get home i shall post some screens. :)

      UPDATE: Screenie...

I have been holding info for just about a month now, so time for a little post.

Things are going well, I can't say I'm stuck on anything editing related, just the shear time it takes to scroll, preview, edit, preview. (Each preview frame taking roughly 2 seconds to load, without any overlaying effects)

I do have one new screen for you, and I picked this one especially not because it's one of those "spare the moment" screenshots, but because it portrayed a specific atmosphere.

            Sir Side :
Thats a cool effect, Motion blur ? or did you blur it for when he fires the gun. Looks nice.

            Sir Xalias :
Looks good, Whats the dots coming from? is that from the blur or a added effect.
Or is the wind blowing his dandruff from his hair. LOL

Dust my friends, you may not have it catching the sunlight by your window, but in good old MEC town you can guarantee that the fights going to kick up some rubble when the bullet start flying.

Nice screenie Side, I hope the whole movie can entertain visuals like that, I envy your serenity with Combustion. You wouldn't be synchronising updates with me now lol? What would everybody do!

P.S. Portrayed! I knew I got mixed up there somewhere lol, *fixed*

Ok, Nice effect. Is it animated ? as in if you move the camera will the partials & dust match the camera, get bigger & smaller ?

Well I wouldn't want to spoil the mood if the effect was static. What you see is the real world residual representation of "dust"...
It floats, it vanishes, it billows in the wind…
It's just a little feature that probably only lasts about 2 - 4 seconds in a number of shots but makes it all the more eye pleasing. That shot is currently animated to be going around in a vortex in the room.
I know a couple of people would probably be winding this movie backwards and forwards now, and in retrospect, you would probably have too to capture every single alien effect that isn't BF2.
As I disguised in my message, the shot doesn't always have to contain action to be interesting.

Yeah it blurs when he fires, and also a bit of light rays not too much just a hint of them.

personally, i prefer it without bullet time
Its well done, but matrix effects these days became a bit too overused.
before it was, "oh yeah cool matrix effect" but now is more like " oh no, not again the matrix effect"

Keep up the good work, nice screens btw for all projects :)
                            looking forward to it

I agree with Little_Donkey, there’s no point in putting in bullet time just for the sake of it. It's ether going to look extremely corny or it's going to take you months to master it right.
I can only remember one Battlefield machinima that tried bullet time, and it ended up as static footage. No sound effects ether.
It was a shame, the screenshot of it looked particular impressive on the makers website, which brings me down to the reason why you should never show post-edited screenshot(s).
Especially if your promising things that are not going to be shown.
Everybody knows that the lesser movie with the lower expectations is bound to be far more impressive than an over hyped preview.

I'm sorry, but I take reference(s) here of: Warlord, and maybe Mine 2.
Never failures, but certainly dubbed by their predoing.

I know what you mean and i actaully thought about it for quite a while, and just rumaging through my head if it will be a good idea or not, but then i decided what the hell its only for one shot actually for a sniper scene, if Xalias you remember we did a small sniper scene on Mashtuur with the 2 squad leaders thats the scene i want to use it for and thats pretty much it. This screen was actually me jsut testing out to see how it would look and to my surprise it did not take as long as i thought, the sound was a bit tricky balancing the slow motion bullet sound from one speaker to the other but i think its pretty fair to say that it came out just about right. I dont think one 5 second scene of bullet time hurt anyone :) Thanks for the responses guys it really helps.
