Heli Flag Whoring

I've been in a Blackhawk "whoring" it and I've been on the ground fighting against them.

Noone is going to convince me sitting in the Blackhawk is so hard to do. It was a picnic sitting in the Blackhawk capping every flag and racking up points that I didn't deserve.

You call it teamwork sitting in a chopper? Takes more teamwork and logistics and skill to take a flag on the ground.

Ofcourse people only use the blackhawks for the stats, take away the assists and nobody will use them anymore...

Not saying its hard to do. But isnt it important to get your team more flags so they have more places to spawn from and therefore more avenues to attack from. I would say dont nerf the BH but increase a teams air defense capability. Something which ive seen alot of people complain about.

Oh yeah, keep having your ringers post how 'easy' it is to take a blackhawk down, cause they're doing a real good job of fooling us... not. A properly manned and operated blackhawk will only be taken down by a jet ram, copter ram, or 2 guys who know wtf they're doing in an attack copter. That isn't what I would call 'balance', but maybe I'm just stupid.

Haha I'm anti BH whore as it gets. Look at my stats, do you think my teamscore, cp and cp assists would be so low if I whored it up with the BH.

The simple reason why heli-whoring over flags are so effective is becuse the helicopters can take more damage than a tank :wall:

Well, i've bein one of the so called bh whores and suffered from them too (as most here i think). The main problem of it is that in most servers the comunication and organization of players almost doesnt exist, coz to be honest, if players organized themselves more, BHs would fall like flies. Why am i saying this, mainly coz 2 vodniks gunners (or other equal vehicles) can hunt down a bh full of whores (ive tried it, those vehicles does much damage against bhs, just try it and tell us) so easily. There are other tactics too but we have to recognice that many ppl are that dumb that they go straight to the chopper trying to damage it with their automatic weapons.... For finishing i just say that i think that the bh damage is ok, at least real bhs can spit bullets like hell and i dont think the army is thinking about lowering its power :p and in this game things would change a lot if players really played as a team.

I seriously doubt that the real Blackhawk can withstand several tank rounds and armorpiercing missiles. The damage system in the game is just totally screwed... a heli can take masses of "heavy caliber" damage, but they will get shot down by machineguns fairly easily...

Don't you just love when you're in a tank you see a heli coming towards you, you fire a shell right into the nose of the chopper - which of course doesn't bring it down, and half a second later you're dead.

well, i meant damage against troops, its true that thouse bullets should destroy an APC that easily for example or keep flying after a T90 hits it, but well, just wait and ull see those things fixed. Anyway ppl will keep using them to capture flags as most players doesnt organize themselves and will not even magane a way to hunt them down.

It's easy to defend against chopper whores (I am one myself, proud to admit). On Dalian Plant, I spent half a round sitting in a tank just waiting for the US blackhawk to show up. Then I shot it out of the sky. I did that 4 times before they realized what was going on and sent in their attack chopper (who I shot down once before he got me). I ended up with over 30 points in about 10 minutes. Not half bad.

So I guess you can say that I whored the chopper whores...

I love fully loaded helo's to shoot down. What I hate is incompetent pilots who cannot shoot them down. The game as far is missles vs helo's is concerned is broke.
So if you can't take them out with guns, ram that fat bird and take them out. You get all the kills and they get nothing. Problem solved. On certain maps with no jets that have helo's you just need to work together to nail the black hawks.

Personally I think the blackhawk mini guns are fine in power. It is the blackhawk armor that causes the issue. I would change it so it takes 2 anti-tank rockets to down a blackhawk and also make the SAW weapons far more effective vs. them (this would also give the support guy more of a purpose). This change would have them being used for troop insertion or fly by's straffing ground troops as they should be.

Yep tanks vs. Blackhawk is by the far the most effective weapon you can use against them. You also get a nice big score.
It is not right though when the best AA vehicle is a Tank and the actual AA vehicles have problems even making a chopper smoke.

It's part of the game, if your team decides to organize a squad and get into a blackhawk to win, well thats playing to win. All you people that complain about this should go get a team and get in a blackhawk yourselves.

The black hawks are overpowered. My buddies and I were playing Mashtuur City and we were outnumbered by 4 players, wouldn't even teams, and we got our asses kick in the first round. SO we got Pissed and said "BLACKHAWK WHORE".

Remember the other team had over 20 players we were outnumbered. 4 of us got in the blackhawk and within a minute or two we won. We captured all the flags and kept the other 20+ player team to a total of 10 points. 10 points between 20+ players. 4 of us can take on a full 20+ player team damn near by ourselfs with the blackhawk, and keep them to 10 points. Naw.....they're not overpowered.

And it is really hard to take down the BH when you can repair it while inside.
IF you start taking fire you just fly away and repair. I have whored to see how easy it is to win. I actually thinks it's BS and should be changed. I have yet to sufer a loss if me and my buds BH whore on maps with out really, really good fighter jet pilots.

And BTW you can't organize in a BH if you're on the other team MEC and CHINA don't have the BH and their transport helos are no where near has tough as the BH.

I prefer to fight man to man with no vehicles, but every one wants to drive one so I most often play anti-tank.
