Totally agree..You gotta work as a team, tell each other where the chopper is headed and shoot the friggin thing down

I think The black hawk would be fine if the mec and Chinese army had an equal powerful transpot, the guns on the other 2 transports are something you find on a Vodnik, you dont see a mini gun on a humv.

It isn't how much damage the blackhawk can take, it is the fact that it can take infinite damage since you can repair it continually.

Get rid of the goofy wrenching in mid-flight and the problem is solved.

I prefer to fight man to man with no vehicles, but every one wants to drive one so I most often play anti-tank.

People are at least accurately describing the problem, at least some of them. The problem isn't with game mechanics, it is with the players who CHOOSE to go assault instead of AT when the chopper is up. The problem is people taking the humvee’s to drive around instead of using the guns. The problem is the players who CHOOSE to not play in a way that uses teamwork or even common sense.

People complaining because people are using teamwork and getting points are ridiculous. I am not inferring that the Blackhawk shouldn’t take a little longer to repair while airborne, or take a little longer to cap while airborne. That’s simply balance. The way you people talk, it’s a Hydrogen Bomb instead of a helo.

If the same 6 people got in an APC, and spent the same amount of time and attention reloading people, dropping mines to cordon off areas after they capped it, repairing, healing, that APC would be invincible. It has a little more armor than the Hawk, but less mobility.

I am so sick in every single game of whiners coming to threads like this. Don’t mistake what I’m saying, there is always room for constructive discussion and even ideas for balancing. That is not how I would describe these threads “omfg the Blackhawk-rippingkillingpwninginvinciblemachinefromhell is unstoppable(because the pub team doesen’t work together).

Seriously, do you WANT the game to let people who do NOT work together fare as well(points-wise or flag-wise) as those of you who do?

Stop being retarded noobs people, grow up and practice. The hawks are an easy 6 kills if you spend your time practicing and experimenting instead of showing how noobish you are on these forums.

A nice idea, but the same can be said for multiple vehicle types and sides. It is due to the overall side balance, instead of a narrow-viewed "Chopper vs Chopper" mentality. The MEC and China jets are much nicer than the USMC, but the USMC has much nicer choppers(both the hawk and the cobra).

YA I guess all you need is an APC a TANK and a FAV to take out 1 BH with a minimum of 3 guys in it, oh ya thats balanced HAHAHAHA.

Oh wait the BH can just fly away to another flag and you can't keep up.... Never mind.

That's the whole point......balance. WTF don't you guys get about it, even Dice realizes it.

I dunno why people whine about BH so much. Chances are theres a sting in the vicinity of the helo, or theres an AT guy. Or if you get raped by the heli, just go AT and **** his ass up. them damn BH's dont last long when you put an AT rocket up they ass

Right here is the problem with all the people claiming its unstoppable.

A-A chopper that is at all in the "omfgitsinvincible because we're noobs who don't coordinate or use teamwork" style will always have a minimum of 4-5 people in it, otherwise it goes down VERY fast in the face of any fire.

B-A chopper with 4-6 people focusing all of their energies on repairing, firing, dodging, getting gunners in position, all on voip, all using coordination SHOULD take more than one person firing a gun at it. That is the point of battlefield 2. Teamwork TRUMPS.

Stop complaining that you have no teamwork on your sides, and join up with a group who plays. If you want people who stick together, you should try a clan or at minimum, a gaming community. The game isn't geared for you lone-wolfers to just jump in any noob infested server and hit your magic 'pwn now' button. It's geared toward people like me and my mates, who band together, play together all the time, strategize in the off-time, practice, help each other by sacrificing the glory or the points.

To say that some people put less in and then should get the same return back is foolish, and once again points people toward inevitably calling you a noobs with just cause.

Again, I agree that there can be balancing done to tone down the points awarded. But put in teh same team coordinated effort with half of the people up in that chopper, and that is the lav/tank/humvee combo you mentioned as if it was some spectacular and unrealistic feat.

STOP asking EA to bring the game down to the lowest common noob-denominator.

No thanks, I did that for a few rounds and found it a joke, and it got boring fast.

I'm all about the gameplay, not points. All I got while flying around in the Blackhawk is points. I just sat there in the window chucking nades, and getting massive supply points from the rest of the fellows in the chopper.

But I feel this is one of those endless arguments that compares to arguments about the AWP (Counterstrike: One Shot Golden Gun), where everyone will argue noob vs skilled until they are blue in the face.

All I know is.. while in the Blackhawk I can watch tv, eat dinner, have a conversation on the phone, but on the ground I don't have any time to do anything other than kick some butt.

Just shoot the BH with an Anti-Tank weapon and volia. Works well, and mega points for the shooters. Or get a tank there and shoot him down.

I have to say I used to hate the whoring a good team could do in a Blackhawk, until I really thought about how to take them down. Occasionally I dedicate myself a whole round just to this purpose - six kills a pop is worth the loss of my life a few times trying.

That MEC/Chinese buggy with the 360 degree traverse heavy MG is a Blackhawk killer. Only if they have dedicated engineers repairing will you need others adding some additional fire. Position yourself with some thought and they wont even see you - under their belly at point blank range is satisfying, or off under a tree somewhere away from all the ground action...remember they can't see anything below them, behind them, and only the pilot can see in front. They can't afford to sit still in the sky looking for your ground fire, lest they become easy targets for missiles. At the very least I find I can reliably drive them off flags, if I am prepared. Give some thought to where they are going. Note their direction, look at the map, and spawn in anticipation of their route and your knowledge of anti-air assets. Blackhawks tend to look for easy flag targets.

As soldiers on the ground we have to think when there is a good Blackhawk crew up. Spawning at flags they are hovering over is asking to be eaten for breakfast. How quickly can you die? ;-)

There is nothing better than seeing a full Blackhawk on fire, trying desperately to get away....they are so slow! Watching bodies tumbling from the interior as they come under sustained heavy fire is most satisfying too.
Stingers are also very effective against them, especially I find at medium and long ranges. The best crews can lock down stinger sites with a hail of lead at short range...
I agree with the guy who suggested maybe they need to take longer taking flags (or touching down).. and perhaps changing the generous point sharing for crews, but that is about all. If more people remembered this is war in three dimensions instead of just two, the Blackhawks will indeed be down..

At first I was against it, but Ive either seen serious decline in peopole doing it or Ive seen people working better together to take them down. Whatever the case its not nearly as bad as it once was =)
