I was playing on some server last nite and I called a guy in a blackhawk a stupid stat whore for well flag whoring...(100pts. a round). and he calls me a n00b, thats ****ed up isnt it?

well, do you thing that it will be fixed in the next patch? while I personally like to fly in cirlces around a enemys flag and let my gunner provide air supporrt, i dont sit there and get the flag myself. do you think that when blackhawks rape the entire area while team gets flag is whorin??? just curious

Heli whoring is fine imo. If you honestly can't shoot down or take the BH spawn point then you are a noob.

Even if they make it so helos can't take a flag people will cry about the BHs guns. It's just something you have to overcome. Not too hard really.

yea, it's point whoring, but it's part of the game (the BlackHawk i mean) and can be easily overcome.

If you work together, which doesn't seem to happen much.

This will not be fixed, they are gaurding against stat padding via teamwork with the other team, lol, stuff like that.

The blackhawk is an awesome vehicle if you get a good team in it. But even then, if you don't have a good pilot you're cooked.

Man, having 5 people in the Blackhawk withyou while you pilot is awesome, grab flags in seconds. Nothing wrong with that. Points galore! Teamwork brother!

Firstly, I was always a bit indifferent to chopper whoring, but now:

I was (MEC) chopper whoring with a decent squad for the first time ever last night. I did feel a bit dirty at first (and still do I guess). After a while I realised it was actually pretty hard to get the squad organised in the proper kits, squad leader as pilot, proper seat positions etc to begin with. Then you have to deal with the kamakase pilots (yes, probably the best way to rack up six quick kills), the real pilots who can put a missle right in the back door of the (MEC) chopper and kill everyone except the pilot, the 3+ anti-air vehicles that are just waiting for you and your fellow whores to fly over that ridge...

Plus of course, the yankees were whoring it up in their black hawk too. OK, I admit it might have turned into a bit of a South Park style whore-off, but all is fair in love and war. I Don't think I'm giving back that engineer badge anytime soon!

IMHO it's not whoring at all.

I spend time on helo-squads, and the Blackhawk can be brought down IN A MULTITUDE of ways. It's not even REMOTELY indestructable. It's MOST vulnerable when IT IS CAPPING, so I dont understand why theres so much hatred of this capping method.

It's completely about teamwork. The whole concept of ground control from the air is legitimate and thats the whole point of the Blackhawk.

I used to feel as you do now. I felt helpless, as i shot my 3rd smaw shot into its belly as it hovered 10 feet above my head, and capped the flag. Now, things are different. I even hear a helo, and jump into a buggy. Then its bye bye blackhawk. Pretty bad when 3 smaws dont take down a copter, but the mounted guns on a buggy rip it apart.
Anyways.....keep playing. Dont get frustrated. I once was with them. Not anymore. Now they are an easy 5 or 6 kills. Nice

However, in my opinion capping a flag in blackhawk is sorta flag/point whoring. 9 out of 10 times a copter caps a flag, then leaves. The enemy then retakes that flag within 30 seconds thereafter. What exactly did that blackhawk accomplish? Nothing. All it really does 9 out of 10 times is create more ring around the rosie type gameplay. And believe me, this game has too much of it already. For that reason alone.....i wish that copters or at least the transport helos, could not cap flags in flight. Its kinda idiotic in all reality. Ground owns Ground. Period.

You dont even need to take down the BH with the AT weapons, just fire a shot in through the doors and kill all the passengers inside, usually then the helicopter will fly off, you'll get 2 or 3 kills with one shot, your flag is safe and most likely the BH will come back for another round

Not at all. You were acting 'n00bish.' If someone is BH 'whoring' on a map, it's only because your team is letting them. With good teamwork on the part of the opposing team, it's not very easy for even an organized BH squad to 'whore' a map. If your team can't muster the teamwork to impede the BH's progress, then the BH team fully deserves all of the points they get. They are working as an organized team to earn those points.

I have to believe that 9 times out of 10, when people complain about BH whoring, they are just upset because they aren't able to lone-wolf an entire BH squad into oblivion.

let people chopper-whore it up. i capped some punks earlier with a well placed shot from my M1 Abrams and it was good for (4) kills. and when you work together taking down a chopper is not the hardest thing to pull off. sooner or later people realize they cant get away with it so clean, so they stop.

I feel sorry for the people in the chopper...it is I that often launches a AT misslie at them or just hijack a vehicle and shoot it down with the MG on it...and watch how I earn 3-6 kills instantly :laugh:

Helo whoring is a legit tactic, its just cheap as hell. Depending on the map, its rather easily to counter with a few good ATers and/or MGers. Heck, if you got a attack chopper in your hands...have fun?

As noted above, let them whore. A good support player can easily dispose of or scare off a BH in a very short period of time. Combine that with a few other players hitting it with AT, MGs, AA's. The heliwhores will be toast in no time. Its just about teamwork.

I think chopper whoring is a pretty legitimate strategy. It's one of the few times you actually see people working together as a squad. And the soldiers certainly aren't invincible in a chopper--it's often a deathtrap when pitted against a determined soldier on an AA gun (like moi). This evening I got about 25 kills on Gulf of Oman just by blasting every chopper coming from the aircraft carrier.
