And im not saying that only soloers are not teamplayers. Many other ppl arent.
A dedicated teamplayer creates a squad called "TEAMPLAYERS" or "VOIP" or "MICS", we for example have "CUTE GURLS" (which is popular, believe it or not). People who are also looking for a good squad will then join you. Now, this is 2 years old practical advice that youve conventiently forgotten. Or, you just dont live by your own preached words.

[quute]So when someone stands in front of your jet you give it to them to save a ticket? In fact im not the one wasting tickets here. I dont jump on a jet just to punish the pilot.[/quote]

I run them over, but then again I am not the one teaching people whats being a teamworker and whats not. Consider this, Sloi and Churra also deal with the problems like you, me aswell. I have a 0.037 teamkills per kill, and I prefer FF-ON servers and consider myself a "frontline" pilot who works for his team. I run over every tard who blocks my way and much prefer to drop the whole payload on the runway if someone has parked a tank int front of me. Considering my agressive behaviour on the runway, I still have less TKPK than Churra, and chopper pilots generally have less people hopping on the choppers. You surpass me 2X. Now, considering that I do mess up quite a lot and accidentally TK people with my bomb drops, you stil top me by 2 times. This means that youre not only teamkilling accidentally, but you do it on purpose. Sniper kit + wake + jets + common sence = you being a nonteamplaying, teamkilling jetwhore which every groundpounder hates. If I may make soloers look bad by redlining completely useless people, you certainly make jet pilots look bad by using the M95 fast ejection system.

Hence I put a .50 caliber round from my m95 in their brain.
if you havn't noticed, Rank DOES NOT mean skill.

If the solochopper knows what hes doing, he could make a lot more very good decisions and good shots. Therefore he can probably be alot more effective then 2 complete strangers operating 1 machine taht demands coordination. So in some cases, it is better to have 1 guy per chopper so the team would have an extra soldier on the ground.

and why do i suddenly get a weird avatar and a quote in my sig when ive never ever cared to change those things?

It's all tedious to be honest, solo away, you're not team players however you dress it up.

Nope... taking away practically all armored threats for our infantry to cap those flags easily and considerably more safely, not teamwork at all.

You're absolutely correct. How could I have been so blind?

In my eyes, yes because it helps your team by killing soldiers that could be a problem. However, if they aren't killing anyone, then no, they aren't team players.

You have not given a single valid reason, yet you state your opinion as a fact.

Because in my opinion, playing as a team means you play for other people, like waiting for other players to get into the transport, listening to commander/squad leader requests.

You say there's no valid reason, but if you ask a hundred people what is teamwork, you'll get 95% of the same answer, which is pretty much the dictionary definition. It is this acceptance of what an 'average' person would say is the only reason you need. You and your friends, as said before, are coming up with god knows how many tales and stories all slightly turned into your favour to try and prove that you're team players.

Methinks you doth protest too much.

The most effective teamwork is produced when all the individuals involved harmonize their contributions and work towards a common goal.
The common goal for a team in BF2 on macro level: reduce enemy tickets to zero
The common goal for a team in BF2 on micro level: capture the strategic flag points, make the enemy bleed

Method of reaching that goal: kill enemy infantry or capture the flags to bleed the enemy out

Helicopters main purpose and goal: provide close in air support for the troops.

Which means that Helicopers ASSIST ground troops in completing THEIR (as in, ground troops) mission. A helicoper can only kill, and thats exactly what soloer does.

To conclude, a helicopter pilot does his task in the mission of common interests, if he goes out in lenghts to make infantrys designated targets as his priority, he is actively doing teamwork. Which means, if he responds to spotted targets, hes doing teamwork.

By the end of the day, it means that a pilot can choose to be a teamworker or not. So labelling them all under one hat would be ignorant and stupid, a judgement based on ones inexperience.

Youre right, you cant fight dictionary nor common sense, who why are you trying so hard then, Gman?

I know what you're saying, but it still stands that you're saying it because you prefer to take the attack heli out on your own because you do not believe there are good enough gunners out there.

That, to me, is not teamwork.

I'm starting to think it's an exercise in futility, Chris.

They seem unable to understand that a voluminous streak of tickets from their friendly neighbourhood soloer is an excellent form of teamwork: frankly, I'm so tired of people misunderstanding or completely missing the point that I'll begin abstaining from these threads from now on. The proof is in the pudding, and some people persist in denying it's dessert.

The intelligent thing to do would be for us to continue helping the team like we do and ignore these people. Like some of my illustrious friends would say, f*ck 'em all.

There's a difference between winning and teamwork, you just don't see it, you so desperately want to be right, and prove to everyone that you're a team player, that you've become blinkered to the fact that they are two different things.

I'm as equally tired of trying to teach you basic English.

There are amoeba on Saturn that have accomplished this.
Not really, but it's a great quote.
