I'll tell you the same thing I told a friend of mine: TV the SP choppers from different angles, heights and everything in between. Sure, it's more predictable, but you'd be surprised how many people don't think of doing what I'm recommending and just hit them from the same stupid positions. You're obviously not going to learn anything new by doing the same thing in the same manner...
Once you can confidently hit them from all heights/angles/positions, then you're ready to start whoring up on multiplayer.
