Does ANYONE picture any grunt weeping for the poor, underappreciated pilots???

Appreciation lasts about 10 seconds, when the guy who's about to be slaughtered by an armoured column suddenly finds 4 burning hulks in front of him and is still alive. However something other than appreciation tends to swell up when pilots have less than what it takes to get the job done...

It's all about job satisfaction when anything larger than a rabit is immediately blasted off the map, eh, RocketChild?

This problem, concerning noskilled players beeing able to occupy essential hardware like I posted as an example, is something DICE shoul have figured out.

There's too many flaws with that. And as we all know, rank isn't an indicator of skill. So using that, we'd have the same people, not necessarily skilled at flying, in the aircraft over and over and the n00bs would never have a chance to improve their skills because they wouldn't get any seat time. I think that would make the problem worse, not better. Better for someone with three stars maybe, but not better for the general population.

I'd be more in favor of some kind of rotation format. Ergo, if you were just in the helicopter, and you died, you wouldn't be able to fly it again for a set period of time, something like that. Or perhaps some type of system that sets a waiting list for each aircraft, this would also stop people from stealing other peoples' aircraft that they were waiting for. But, obviously no solution is perfect.

True, I have changed account for every twenty thousand since I reached colonel, and even made the Expert Ground Defense badge when it required 60hours and 24 kills iar. That was before patching. So, its kinda lol flying, cause all those multistars Generals always seem to forget bombing when I have shot them down several times.

I have more then a thousand hours in jets in this game. More then half of it in the F-35. That is the hours registered in the Account, not the time I have spend on local server, practicing evading manovers through obstacles and ceilingtesting. Take-offs, and jumps, high-alt.bombing and more. I can easily bomb spots and flags from 4-500 altitude. Spend some time offline and you`ll see you`ll get a lot better.

I think that would make the problem worse, not better. Better for someone with three stars maybe, but not better for the general population.

I have the perfect solution:

Apply for choppers and jets. Offline trainingtime includes in this evaluation. Those with sufficient understanding of the vehicle and has the most experience gets it. Because noone is served by spending 20 minutes on any UCB, beeing raped. This way, it might work properly.

That does not mean that any pilot with 50 hours in any craft is better then a one-type jetpilot with ten hours.

When you get used to the jets, you understand you have to fly everyone different from eachother. And by the benefits some have, you have to avoid those moves.




Read the "Aviatorguides" by; debonairXL, zenmaster and Chris_Redfield. Then you may have a chance to stay alive, and maybe even do what you should. Then there are a lot to take into concideration, like hitboxes, how jets are designed (why you cant hit j10, but MEC-jets and F-35 are easy), and heatsources.

It`s simply to complicated for any noob to find out on the battlefield, and to essential for the team to let them try.

J10 ruined for the ability to make soldiers understand there are significant difference from groundpound, and go over to aircombat. People think they can fly when they enter a j10, and they want it to.

Because these things I`ve described in this thread, and that such happens, then the team suffers from this culture. This should never have been an issue at all.

I agree. Maybe in a sequel they could include some type of "certification program" in the game. You go through some type of structured training offline with varying levels of certification. Then when you go online, depending on your level of certification, determines whether you get the vehicle or not. Granted this wouldn't work in all situations and the implementation of it would have to be worked on. But it could work.

Possibly. But like I said, having a high rank doesn't mean you're proficient at flying. I'm a lowly Master Sergeant but I'm blowing colonels, lts, and generals out of the sky with regularity(rank means nothing!).

I have the same problem with the J10 as I do with the armor, it's way too easy to use and requires little to no skill to rack up kills with. It just feeds into this culture we have in this game that kills are everything and teamwork is nothing. And far too often I see J10s not doing what they should be doing, i.e. bombing when they should be in an air-superiority role. At least with the helos, they require some skill. Especially piloting. I have far more respect for a good helo pilot than I do a J10 whore.

Beeing high-ranked is no guarantee it means teambenefit. To get all stars, you have to do it all. Dedication is better then rank and hours.

Beeing among those that have done the most, any tanker that hides in a "superspot" between houses, still won`t get free from me. I know where he is, due to my experience in tanks.

The problem about armoring, against other armors, and infantry. Is that most people need some hours with this and that kit, which make them useless against armors. I see way to many snipers on Wake, even after beeing spawnraped for the fourth time. This is stupidity, and is caused by the ridicilous statsystem that came with this game.

As I menctioned before, I would see 2 M72 with the Assault-kit. This could somehow even this out a little bit. Myself I dont find armor on maps like Wake to be difficult. Without a supplycrate, they`re pretty easy to take out as single AT.

No-skilled tankers, I think most people think of spawnrapers on Karkand. That is just as little tanking, like bombing carrier in j10 is beeing a pilot.

Don`t think we disagree much mate, but let`s hope DICE reads some of this, making them forget ideas like ranks and badges to be the thing making people play this game.

I feel ya. Almost too predictably, people start crying about fairness and using what they paid for when we mention a meritocracy. :p

Just so everyone knows, I came up with the licensing and prioritization system idea. If they implement that sh*t, I'll be the happiest guy in BF2...

If you want the specifics, search my posts for those three key words. I went in very high detail about how it would work, and I know that if DICE got off its ***, we could have something like it.

Maybe in BF3... who knows.

Helicopters suck anyways. Nothing worse than having a 10-0 score as infantry and some lucky chaingunning noob gets to kill you, just because he jammed on the "E" key faster than everyone else back on the carrier. Not to mention choppers make tanks/boats/transports useless, so they've basically stripped everyone of using tons of vehicles.

I respect the good pilots though... but there's too many chopper whores out there.

I prefer piloting to gunning. Just fly around, pointing my nose at something that I don't like and it being blown up.
