hmmm some good pilots can cap flags, lol im an ok pilot and i can do it as well ^^

I've capped a flag with F-35 too, on Wake Island.

You can hover with the F-35, take off vertically etc, just like with a chopper.

how do you manage to slow down and hover over a flag though - it sounds dead hard

It is easy but you are very vulnerable doing so

Haven't you seen Die Hard 4? There was F35 chasing Bruce Willis

Nah, on an average publicserver, people tend to spawn sniper when armors, chopper and jets are in rapemode. So, dont be so sure. Besides "Kiwi," you are acctually in a hoverrape-movieclip I made when I started testing out Adobe Premiere

                      Back OT:

Average publicservers usually has some better skilled people that puts them on top of scoreboard.

Many people argue about how "Mid-skilled" average people can do a proper work on the battlefield.

For me as a dedicated pilot, which I ended up as, since I didnt like to face the fact that ace-pilots gun down any chopper within less then two seconds. Half a second if aiming at cockpit from 50-20 meter. Then choppering wasnt fun anymore.

With such jetpilots on server, choppers cause no threath. They are down when they are spotted, always.

With a good pilot, a chopper can survive at most for four-five gunruns (except if close to helipad at "Woodyard" on "Dragon Valley"), before they are down. They then need som jetpilots on their team that can and will give support to either chase jet away, or hunt it down. This is not to often it happens on average publicservers.

Jetpilots decides which choppers to live, and which ones to die.

Then, with an extremely good helipilot, the gunner can do a proper job on his role. But whitout a good pilot, then the best gunner never will aim at any target. Less likely will he be able to hit anything.

I agree. The chopper dictates the tempo of the battle (provided a jet ace isn't shooting him down every 2 seconds). If you have 2 pros in the heli, the other team will have a VERY hard time surviving in armored vehicles and capping flags - provided the heli pilot knows what he's doing.

yeah you are right, thats why i think they should improve the AA emplacements (not to say they are useless atm) just in need of improvement. i think VT Nerd suggested this infact, on another topic.

lol my heart raced as i read that :$

i especially liked the "I fly with a joystick" comment ^^

i fly with a keyboard, i found it hard to start out with, but now its not easier, though im sure its much easier with a joystick, because i used to play at my friends house and she had a joystick and flying jets, not only choppers was much easier.

In Wake Island it is harder to survive in the chopper than on the ground, unless the jet pilot choses himself to let you live and chase another jet. When in a chopper, you are at the jet pilot's mercy pretty much.
I don't want this to sound like bragging, since I didn't think that capping a flag with a hovering F-35 was that hard, but I've managed to TV missile a F-35, being a gunner in the Chinese WZ-10, and he wasn't hovering neither. I thought that that was pretty good. Anyway after a year of flying, I gave up on it more than a year ago (the same old sky became boring:)) and I've been ground pounding as engineer ever since. It's fun in a different way and you learn to respect the ground troops and vehicles a lot more.
