i especially liked the "I fly with a joystick" comment ^^

i fly with a keyboard, i found it hard to start out with, but now its not easier, though im sure its much easier with a joystick, because i used to play at my friends house and she had a joystick and flying jets, not only choppers was much easier.

Anni if you need a good looking guy, I can almost guarantee you that I'm the only one with 17.5 " biceps and a 6 pack here.
Anyway back on topic, I still fly the chopper with a keyboard, but for the jet a good joystick is a must. I have a Saitek Cyborg and it works pretty good for me.

Just to brag: Two days ago, I shot down two F-35s with the TOW on Vista Point, same round. They didnt hover either :lol:

And to brag more, have TV-guided some J10s too. Some soloing too


For the record: I dont like flying j10, so when admins kicks me for "lamejoining," then I rather practice MG, with FAV, shooting down choppers. Have shot down choppers with FAV from 4-500 meters, and forced chopper to hover over carrier at 600 meters

If your success in BF2 works for you in RL too, I guess that's great. Unfortunately it doesn't work for my girl, in fact she can care less, so I have to have the real thing too to impress her.

Both, only one doesn't work neither LOL, she's a very high maintenance. That's the price you have to pay to be with a top notch woman LOL.

Its always these damn helo threads that get turned into e-penis matches, arguements, and in this case, a sex chat.

But anyways, Im working on my flying/gunning/soloing skills in the chopper at the moment. Ive been flying on the demo since it came out, so Im pretty good, but the full version is a step-up from the demo and Ive got a ways to go before I really master the helo. Its as fun hell though, and even without being a master, I can still get a nice 2:1 ratio soloing as long as there isnt a better helo pilot/gunner on the other team.

And I know this isnt the soloing thread, but I just wanna make the arguement that soloers are teamplayers and they do help the team a lot. I know Ive saved many flags from capture and many infantry from dying with the tv missile. I also know that Im really grateful when a missile comes from the sky and destroys the armor that was just about to destroy me.

Oh yeah, and I like Sloi's idea about a plane/helo liscence being needed to enter their respective vehicles. A simple proficiency test would be all that would be needed to prevent those gunners who insist on using the chaingun for everything from getting in a helo and making that vehicle useless to the team.

ya, with full version patched you now only have 32 rockets instead of 48, tv distance is limited to 450m, they changed the seat switching to make the chopper spin more, and added that black&white static tv screen to the tv view.

I think thats about all.. anyone?

Helos have less health now too. And the players on the full version are in general better at taking helos down. When I play the demo I have virtually nothing to worry about/no competition 90 percent of the time. Even then, its usually just a persistent soldier in an AA emplacement, all Ive gotta do there is break their lock, TV them, and laugh at their futility.

They have made the chaingun loads better, the TV slower and more responsive though.
