Its a piece of sh!t.

First, it sounds like an automated squirrel fart. Weak, unintimidating and doesnt make you feel confident.

Secondly, it constantly fels as if it doesnt have a barrel and the bullets start spreading as soon as they leave the gun. Its probably the only gun in the game where you can actually feel the random cone of fire. In real life terms, the gun feels like its barrel is only an inch long.

I would take the AK101 over it any day. And if I know theres going to be lots of "face to face" action involved, I would choose my Remington.

I hate the L85.
It isn't underpowered, though. One headshot is enough, just like the AK101.
I just hate the lack of accuracy. It LOOKS like it should be accurate because of the level of zoom and the scope. Looks can be deceiving. Maybe I have been spoiled by the UT series, where what you aim at accurately is a hit. Luck shouldn't be a huge factor in a skill-based game. With the L85, it's a roll of the dice. The g36e requires more hits to kill, however more rounds hit the target at which you aim so it actually kills in less SHOTS.

The 85's ok, but i definitely prefer the E. I like to use single shot for long/ medium distances and then 3 burst up close. Really gets the job done for me

I only use it as USA since I hate burst fire in CQC. If I thought most of my fighting was going to be medium/long-range I'd use the G36E or even the M16 instead. And I agree that its sound is awful. My favorite medic gun is definitely the AK-47 (big bullets make big holes).

OMG, bullets spreading... No way man. Get some glasses to improve your aim. You can snipe with the L85a1, it's so accurate. It's my choice for medic most of the time, but the AK101 does have a lot more stopping power up close, so it depends on the map. It only takes one short burst (2-3 shots) to kill at medium and long distance. (I do hate when it switches to single shot on it's own after you throw some health down, though...)

I'll take the SCAR-L over any G36 any day! You can snipe with it and it has stopping power in close. + you get to C4 armor:evil:

L85A1 does more damage per round (exactly the same as the F2000) but G36E has a higher rate of fire and does more damage per second (within a burst). L85A1 can kill an undamaged soldier with a single headshot where G36E needs two.

L85A1 is more accurate long range then G36E

G36E is much more accurate short to medium range in full burst then L85A1 is in full auto

I get more kills with the G36E

I don't know why EA put a susat sight on the L85A1 for a medic, as ordinarily it's only fitted to front line troops and all other arms have an iron sight.But on Euro force it has an iron sight with a grenade launcher as an assault weapon? End of the day though if you are a medic the weapon should be for defense and you should be healing / reviving people if that is the role you have decided to play.
