whats the diffrence between the two? they look about the same

in real life the tweaks are really only performance related. mainly to stop prevouise jams that happened with the past A1 version which makes the L85A2 one of the most reluible guns around, next to the Ak-47 hehe.

but ingame our model is far more accruate etc to the real thing and looks alot better ingame

The L85 seems a little eratic to me, but i think its all about style of play. If you adapt your play style to the L85/use it in the right way, one can pwn with it (I'm not suggesting how to do this!) . I use it a lot, but then again I am British so YES I LOVE IT. I Find it pretty good depending on how i use it, i think a mixture of spamming the single shot and firing in short bursts is pretty effective, then again your mum probably knows more than me tbh. I would say its a good gun, judging by the fact that its a gun im often killed by. I also discovered, that boring as it may sound, the medic's M16 is actually really good (after all the assault has it.) As for medics being the new assault, I'm not so sure...they're used like a self healing assault class it would seem, but i once played on a server with a clan (which i was not part of). This clan had a thing about having two of each class except assault, which half of the players had to be. (apparently EA intended it to be played like that?!?) We absolutely pwned the otherwise similarly matched clan. Did they let me join after that? BASTARDS. hence im not naming them :P I would say assault is the most underused class...the default rifles both have a lot of power, and assaults have the armour SMOKENADES and launchables that medics do not(yes ok state the obvious) and a good assault is not comparable to a medic because of this firepower, armour and downright blackness.

OOOO btw IMO medics are overequipped with guns which are far too good and consequently my joint second most played kit cos they're 'mazin

I can't believe what I'm hearing!. The L85 would have to be the best gun in the whole game. It's deadly accurate over range and close up it's a lead-hose. It has a slightly harder hit than the G36 but one must be disciplined, if you spray and pray you're likely to hit yourself in the anus.

I certainly wouldn't go that far. The G36E is clearly more accurate in every situation and its slightly less damage per bullet is more than made up for by its higher rate of fire. The only advantage the L85A1 has is full-auto for people (like me) that hate 3-round burst. I never use it when playing China or MEC.

The L85A1 does rock. I am a medic whore. It snipes , once in a while I'll get the head shot. When I get in a sniping shootout. I lay down extra medic packs - is that padding ? I usally play I/O maps the L85A1 is decent in full auto and accurate enough, but when I go toe to toe against a PKM or G36E - I am alway out gunned. I know its because of body armor and bigger bullets. The scope is great. Using short bursts it is highly effective. If the M16 was full auto and had a good scope, it still would be hard to choose.

I'm not really a "big" fan of the l85,I hardly use it..Actually never,When i'm medic i use SF unlock,G36c or whatever.

Like it mooch better.

No, you don't get points for healing yourself
but it's a nice tactic to lay down med packs when you capping a flag are likely to be shot by a spawning enemy, or when your camping in a good spot.

you are thinking of the l96a1 SNIPER RIFLE not the l85a1 MEDIC RIFLE. common mistake its ok.

Some days I couldn't hit the floor if I was looking down with it, other days its like it comes with a built in aimbot attached to it. It all depends (probably on me).

I personally hated using L85A1 for a while and only used G36C wich is awesome too but after being owned a lot by the L8 I decidet to practice with it and ive been surprised!!! This gun rocks at long & close range but the G36C sometimes lack at speed in close range (when turning a corner and facing sumone). Have to practice with it because its scope is unique and confusing at first.

I know what you mean, the recoil and scope make it a little bit random sometimes. You can pull some crasy shots or just suck lol
