I've recently picked up Jihad Blackhawk on maps that have them. Nosedive on a enemy armor, switch to a backseat, and BOOM! Or do it on a contested flag. Set 3 C4 spread out on the nose, 2 on the sides near the bottom, and 1 in the back so you have as close to a 360 degree explosion as possible. Try to get the kill by swooping in a meter off the ground, and taking a infantryman for a ride on the nose, but if that fails, clickityBOOM! :3 It's great fun. Way to break the monotony of flag capturing.

Jihhad jeeps an exploit? The problem is with C4 being a part of the explosion when a jeep crashes into a tank. This is an exploit. However, rigging a jeep full of C4 and detonating it manually is a perfectly legit C4 use.

Heres the thing, its a very thin line, and both of these types of C4 use are pretty damn close to that line.

I also think that Jihaad jeeping is sometimes one of the few really useful anti-armor engagement types that really pack a good punch.

DICE themselves has said that C4 Jeep Jihading is an unintended exploit of C4 that they cannot fix and it is understandable why. This is why they made the no-jihad ROE. It's all balance as C4 is very powerful yet it has a limited range and slow deployement, however the jeep jihad breaks this balance by increasing the speed and range on C4.

For example DICE wants C4 to stick to enemy vehicles should you thow it on them in a legitimate fashion and nerfing jeep jihading would nerf this valid use of C4 and thus the conflict.

That being said Jeep Jihad is 1) unskilled 2) exploits a broken game dynamic 3) exploits the horrible netcode in BF2 when a tank/APC attempts to defend themself versus a fast moving vehicle and even though they hit the vehicle on their screen it remains undamaged because of hitbox issues 4) the jihaders deprive their own team of valuable transport vehicles needed to get around and in general are a negative force on the server.

In conclusion if you have to resort to an exploit of a broken game mechanic (jihad) to kill a tank or APC you are n00b of the lowest order. Plenty of legitimate and effective methods exisit to kill armor including C4 tossing, C4 traps, AT mines, other armored vehicles, helicopters, airplane, artillery, AT rockets and of course stationary TOW missiles.

So lets see if I got this straight. Your entire team was failing to kill a tank with the numerous legitimate methods available to them (too maybe medics attempting to point whore perhaps?). So you decided that instead of using skill and strategy to kill this obviously skilled tank driver you'd instead use an exploit? Even worse you actually set out to "ruin someones day" in a video game because they were good. How lame can you get?

Try racking up a high score in a tank WITHOUT the jihad n00bs and maybe you'll get an appreciation for how difficult it actually is Consultant. Actually based off your pathetic armor SPM and armor KDR in your Consultant01 profile you already know how difficult it is. Not surpising that you're the same idiot who thought the armor defensive smoke screen was a cheat.

As far as Jihading it is an exploit as far as I'm concerned (and DICE) and I *almost* put jeep jihading in the same catogeory as macroing and other forms of cheating. Killing a good tank driver with a jihad is the same kind of justification a lot of people use for using cheats. Oh darn I keep dying to (insert better player here) so to even the odds I'm going to go download the latest aimbot. Go away.

At least he's not a pathetic trolling old man who has been gaming since wolfenstein which would put you at an age where maybe you should have gotten a ****ing life by now.

Every time you try to regain your dignity by insulting PW (the guy who challenged you to put your F35B uber-tactics to the test, the challenge you accepted and then ignored), you make yourself look stupid.

I did accept later when I had time but PW said it was too late. The whole Europe time zone compared to North America was impossible for me as I travel a lot. Besides I'm only doing this because he's really on prime form picking on people and I'm able to roast him back which others who are not native English speakers or other difficulties have a hard time doing so I'm doing it for them. I hate bullies and if this was real life I'd kick his *** and as I can not I'll flame him every time I see him act like a "Giant Douche". After our uber arguement I've even agreed with him but he's really going too far now.

It's not me who called it an exploit, it was DICE. It is a broken game mechanic that they do not have the programming abilites to fix so they created a ROE against it as a "bandaid". But make no mistake about it if DICE could press a magic button and make the jihading tactic go away they'd hit it in a heartbeat

You can use the same lame justification for anything. Aimbot for example. What you see as a cheat and an exploit I see as an effective and legitimate program to give me an edge against infantry. I mean they can download it too right?
Comparing using C4 and using aimbots...your stretching it here. You know as well as I do that using an aimbot requires an outside program to get an advantage where as using c4 on jeeps is part of the game.


Can't really compare it to a J-10 because no other alternatives exist to using the J-10 when a team needs aircraft. Plenty of alternative methods exist to killing a tank or APC and thus the jihad exploit is unnecessary.

Lets say for example if you jumped and fired a grenade launcher (or an AT rocket) you'd fire out three grenades (or 3 AT rockets) instead of one, DICE acknowledged it was an unintended bug but because of the nature of the game code absolutely no way exists for them to fix it. How do you think most servers would feel about people using that exploit? Same deal as Jihading only it would effect more people than just the handful of armor people that jihading effects. Jihading is an uintended and unwanted usage of C4 according to DICE that cannot be changed because it is not possible without breaking the legitimate uses of C4. So DICE figures best to let the armor people get raped by an unstoppable jihad of death then piss off all the Spec Ops people.

I don't like Jihaders trying to kill me and I especially dislike them when I'm with my squad trying to get transport so we can capture flag and some dumbarse jihader is loading up the only available jeep with C4 packs. All so he can go n00b some poor tank driver and cost our team a ticket and our only viable means of transport.

Usually when I jihad....I try not to die. I jump out let the car roll into the target and press the detonator button so I am not costing my team a ticket. As far as no tranport being around.....request a vehicle drop....if you have a decent commander

I dont see the big problem with jihad jeep. I use it myself and think its a perfectly legit tactic. I do still use it, but always, always try to exit the jeep in enough time to blow it & walk away.
Fair enough i do think that if you just stay in the jeep and ram and tank, then it is a bit pathetic, you should try to stay alive!!

I guess i am a bit of an armour whore with about 120 hours in armour. Have been victim to jihad many times. But at the end of the day if somebody keeps trying to jihad you, YOUR IN A TANK FFS - BLOW THEM SKY HIGH FIRST.
Change your tactics, wait for the jihad to come for you, and kill him first. If you kill a jihad a few times and they dont get to you, they'll get fed up first and go and do something else.

And at the end of the day - THIS IS ONLY A GAME - CHILL OUT & HAVE FUN!!!!

Yes. First you lob a grenade at the crate or blast it blast it with AT. Two AT rockets to the tread or rear of the tank will kill it. Doesn't sound that hard does it? Or have your friendly chopper TV missile it, or have your friendly tank confront it. As DICE has said Jihad Jeep with C4 is an exploit and if you've got a problem with that take it up with them.

Same engine and thus same exploit that they can't seem to fix. And yeah bashing a jeep loaded with C4 that can go 200MPH and is unstoppable in to a mech leg and instantly destroying it is anything but balanced.

Thats the way the cookie crumbles. The game is supposed to be a sandbox, so if thats what people wanna do, then so be it. Its not gonna change, the same can be done with an APC or Transport Helo.
