Lol, people just don't get it. DICE MADE THIS GAME, NOT US WHINERS. Besides when you back up your opinion with arguments then you're not a whiner.
You're the whiner, not contributing anything or say why you don't agree with the OP. Mama, plz let them leave the game BOOHOO. They ruined my game
gtfo.
The game was fine at 1.2, which I was really just happy to see solve some stability problems.
1) Then we had people whining about "noob tubing" ("hey guys, let's make it so that the nades bounce before blowing up, kekekekek")
2) and how their claymores & mines were worthless because people would always TK themselves on them (I kind of agree here, I like that they don't blow up team mates anymore, except on the laidbackcrew server)
3) That wasn't enough - the BH was too powerful (now the miniguns are WORTHLESS)
So then we're playing BF2 @ 1.3 with all the whiner-friendly changes, which is worse than 1.2 IMO, but it's still BF2 and playable.
1) I don't like the nades bouncing out of my M203! WAAAAAAAAAH! (noobtoob is back, can I get a "hell yeah"? gg counter-whiners)
2) Since my BH miniguns are worthless, can I get a BH with awesomer armor? (yes)
I haven't noticed any other changes, you know, in the way of the game becoming more stable or anything. It still crashes and CTDs me out of newly joining servers, also still hear the theme music for 20 seconds after the game's already been exited, but really, let's concentrate on what ALL THESE MF'ING WHINERS ON TOTALBF2 WANT NOW.

I agree and that's because DICE doesn't listen to people like me who actually play the game. Very few positive changes have come from the multitude of failed DICE patches and again if the implemented my simple ideas above it'd elevate the gameplay to a whole new level and unlock the full potential of this game concept. I know that seems like a lofty claim but I really honestly believe that things like J-10s, claymores, grenades and n00b tubes are an extremely destructive gameplay element that should be modified.

Re: PlaneWhore's top 4 BF2 changes that need to be in the 1.5 patch
ok, the more changes we make, the more it takes away from the game. i agree with that. but his point about greanades is vaild. if we dont limit the number or how it can be resupplied the giant snowball fights that start almost every round of karkland, jalalahabad, and wherever a front line forms will get worse. i think that if we couldnt limit the number then how about bigger penatlies for a teamkill.people will think twice before they chuck a greanade into masses of people. like a real soilder would do in a the same situation. i mean who throws greanades over a fence over and over, not bothering to check his minimap or see the "CHECK YOUR FIRE" in the left side of the screen. Half of the time they end up with just as many teamkills as they do enemy kills.
Re: PlaneWhore's top 4 BF2 changes that need to be in the 1.5 patch
I'm not for nerfing anything but I am for balancing certain elements.
Again take grenades for example.
Grenades as of 1.4 give all classes 4 grenades which is excessive to begin with. To make matters worse support can resupply that massive stockpile of grenades with an unlimited supply of instant ammo. Now we've determined that a surplus of grenades exist. So why not throw them randomy in to choke point where you might nail someone at random? You've got so many of them so why not? As a result the gameplay degenerates in to a grenade war as every round of Karkand does (especially IO).. at least to start. This is best showcased on Karkand but it happens on every map. You take a spawn point where you know enemies are, you chuck your massive stockpile of grenades at random and you almost always get lots of kills. It's bad enough with one player doing this but on a large server with just a handful of people doing this and suddenly every square inch of the map space is unsafe and exploding at random.
Now what happens if you reduce the number of grenades?
Now that grenades have a set hard cap per death (again, barring an encounter with a supply crate which is a tactical element). When a good class like a medic only has one grenade to toss do you think they're going to randomly just throw it? No. They're going to save that grenade for a worthy scenario. Oh crap... that flag just went neutral... time to throw my grenade. Sniper on the rooftop... time to throw my grenade. When you only have one grenade to throw.. you throw it at something. If you want to barrage the enemy with grenades then you better get your commander to drop you a crate. This boosts the usefulness of crates by converting them in to real ammo dumps. The important distinction however is that the spammer relies on this crate that can be destroyed a number of various methods. When the grenade spamming becomes self-contained that is when the real balance issues arise.
Grenades intended purpose is perserved (rooting out campers, defeating stationary opponents ect..) while the exploitable elements are nullified. That's called smart gameplay balance. Nothing is nerfed unfairly and the average gameplay experienced is improved. The only people who will dislike such a change are the people who previously exploited the unlimited grenade scenario and that is a group of people that is worth upsetting in the name of game balance.

Nothing is ever going to be perfect, I hope DiCE leaves the game alone at this point and you crybabies are forced to mitigate your issues in whatever way you finally figure out. Maybe some extended Duck Hunt sessions to hone the ol' motor skills.
Re: PlaneWhore's top 4 BF2 changes that need to be in the 1.5 patch
I think that maybe instead of limiting nade resupply to supply crates, why not do what they did with the claymores and only allow every class to have two at a time. Yeah support guys will still have a limitless supply, and can resupply them to other troops, but two less nades per player adds up to a lot less nades, and as a result, less deaths to nade spamming.

Oh so you decided to come out of your shell and think of some usefull things to say.
The noobtubing, only thing that sucked was that you could jump up close to avoid the blast and get an easy shot at the feet. It was just extremly annoying with the fact how the character seems to jump ridicously high.
The claymores and mines that were friendly fire had to change as well. The fact that people can't even see the red skull, how would they be so useless when they are destroyable, counterable.
The bh gun was too powerfull while the other transport choppers were useless. This clearly shows something was not right as well.
But we don't decide how they implement a fix. So trying to be constructive and not whine, meh leave it alone or meh I get killed too much is the best.
You just encouraging people to whine instead of come up with good ideas.
So perhaps it's people like you that made DICE overnerf things. You're not much different then people that cry they getting owned.
Improving the stability to the game doesn't give much room for discussing. They either make it better or they can't/don't. Ofcourse we all would like to make our rockets hit their targets and not mysteriously go through it.
Now please leave us the **** alone. I'm here to discuss about the game in peace, not to get thrown regrets and accusations to my head.

True the BH gun was too powerful in respect to the flying cow, but instead of adjusting the guns in the cow, they made the BH guns like pellet guns. They are a joke in their current state.

i could prob come up with 50 things i dont like about the game either, but its a fruitless endeavor unless my ideas are actually heard and taken seriously by the coders in Canada and/or Sweden.

Pay attention, you might learn something:
The noobtubing, only thing that sucked was that you could jump up close to avoid the blast and get an easy shot at the feet. It was just extremly annoying with the fact how the character seems to jump ridicously high.
It was part of the game, it should have been something that people learned to deal with, not something they cried about until it got changed for them because dying too many times in a fake world got them all flustered.
The claymores and mines that were friendly fire had to change as well. The fact that people can't even see the red skull, how would they be so useless when they are destroyable, counterable.
I agree, they were useless, but the result was that people just didn't use them. So either A) they could continue to not use them or B) DiCE could enable team mates to perform actions that would normally trigger them, but not trigger them anymore. They chose B, which I liked.

Incorrect, I thought it was fine as it was, in spite of the fact that I wasn't able to whore fish in a bucket with it on Mashtuur as much as I would have liked. A better solution would have been to install a few SAMs on Mashtuur.
So perhaps it's people like you that made DICE overnerf things. You're not much different then people that cry they getting owned.
Nope. Find all my posts. I don't cry about the game mechanics, because no matter what they are, the people who are better at exploiting the exploitable are the ones who will come out on top. I happen to think that playing normally works just fine, and I can play for hours at a time without having a thought about the need for EA/DiCE to nerf something in the game for me.
Improving the stability to the game doesn't give much room for discussing. They either make it better or they can't/don't.
Truly you are a man before your time. GO FORTH AND TELL OF THIS REVELATION ON THE MOUNTAINS!

Not really, if you land the BH facing a flag, you can make some awesome infriltrations with cover of a BH gunner. They also can kill if you keep the BH levelled and not applying much throttle.
But yeah it makes people upset if you're going to make such drastic changes.
They should've finetuned the gameplay with patches not completly straving away from the original concept.
