Batausu has a point PlaneWhore... this grenade thing has been around for ages now and all ground pounders have grown used to avoiding it quite easily.

Instead of learning too, now you start a long crusade about how grenades are spammed over the ‘skilled’ people’s heads.
Nobody complained before, until a plane whore got his feet on the ground and got owned by grenades.
If you can’t handle a ‘noob’ with a grenade in his hand, then you better reevaluate your skill before blaming on the weapon.
I am pretty good on the ground believe it or not, and grenades, most of the time, are a major problem.

People don't even bother using their primary weapon.. they treat their grenades as the primary weapon, and that right there is the problem..

It happens mostly on karkand, but I have seen it in EVERY server I go to. The primary cause of death you will see in EVERY server, in the top left, will be _________ [Hand Grenade] __________.

It really is a problem... IMO they need to limit it to 2 grenades for the most popular/powerful kits (Support/Medic/Sniper), and keep 3 for the others. Make it so that if you pick up an ammo pack you only pick up bullets, but supply crates can reload grenades.

listen to this, and try to explain how grenades are not a problem..

No it isn't a good point. Plenty of discussion has revolved around grenade exploitation before I brought it up. Fabricating this non-exisitant scenario where I'm getting annihilated by them is easily shot down by a quick glance at my infantry statistics. Approaching a 3.0 rifle KDR, 5.2 overall KDR and 5.4 point a minute my statistics are superior to anyone posting in this thread. I do just fine even with the spammers in full force however I am intelligent enough to realize how these players detract from the entire gameplay experience for all players (including themselves).

            Wait, it wasn't closed already?

I do love that video and it really does sound and look like every round of Karkand I've ever played. Not just Karkand though and it's similar scenario (to a lesser extent) whenever you've got two teams with opposing spawns clashing right near each other.

Planes have their own ‘grenades’, you know. Some have 2, others 5 and reloading is as easy as a fly by.
The primary weapons in a jet are the cannons. So why pilots use bombs so much? They are spamming the ground with these ridiculously high power explosives and nobody seems to stand up and ask them to stop.
I suggest we make bombs able to reload only after a landing and give jets just 1 bomb and 3 for the bombers.
              How do you like that?

Jets presence is periodical, not constant. This is why every jet attack can be avoided. You could even set a clock by a pilots attack patterns.

The primary weapons in a jet are the cannons.
Wrong, cannon is the "supplementary" weapon much like grenades are for infantry. Main weapons for jets are bombs and missiles.

So why pilots use bombs so much?
                  Because they are primary weapons.

They are spamming the ground with these ridiculously high power explosives and nobody seems to stand up and ask them to stop.
What a tool. The whole god damn forum is filled with people "standing up" and complaining about jets impact on the battlefield.

I suggest we make bombs able to reload only after a landing and give jets just 1 bomb and 3 for the bombers.
                  How do you like that?
Another moron who has less than an hour flight time.

One, landing a jet will mean that a jet will most probably be killed. It takes a second of a cannon burst to kill a jet, one SRAW, 2 grenade launcher grenades, a few seconds of 50 cal, a tank shell and splash radius of an arty shell to kill a jet.

Two, timeloss in landing, takeoff, rolling to rearming spot will take minutes.

Do if you want to implement THAT kind of change, how about my idea. Make respawning time 5 minutes.

You also want to reduce jets payload aswell as make it land. Very well. A jet will kill 3-6 people per reload, it takes 2-3 minutes ro rearm. A round lasts 10-20 minutes. Thats about 20 something kills a round. A jets PRIMARY function is to kill. Youve just effectively made it not performing its function.

The only viable change I would think of as beinga reasonable change is reducing jets bombs splash damage so it becomes an anti-armor weapon.

Re: PlaneWhore's top 4 BF2 changes that need to be in the 1.5 patch

now from reading this thread over a few weeks,i still cant belive that players complain about the nad spaming.

mainly on karkand at the begining of the round this happens.

i find it funny how maybe 15 players run to guard the easy route to hotel and start lobing nads over the wall's

i know it going to happen...so this is what i always do...

i flank them if usmc pull out my trusty l96a1 and pop them suckers in the ear, they are litraly defensless when arpoched fromt he side.

this results in 6-7 kills relativly quick for me.

also after the mec comander's arty has charged nad's ar not the problem.

it's a simle tactic but works wonder's i got all the way around to the left and when i get near the flag (top left) i just listen out for mec arty droping aroud hotel/nad spam area..then ill cap the flag.

then its game on i move on with my squad(teamwork)<-thanks for pointing out naming the squad teamwork it works wonder's

there maybe a few die hard hotel'ers for mec nading but by the time they have realised they have lost a flag then me and squad are past train wreck and on our way to warhouse or something.

nad's will kill you if you let them...
just like armor will if you take obvious route's

now planewhore you say you have the best stat's in the game on this forum(fairplay) but if youre so good (as you say you are) then surly nad's wouln't bother a player of youre skill,

but yet you still complain about the nad fest?

i dont play as mutch as you and when i do i rarly play medic always sniper so i can spot threats for my team.

i dont need a g36e and majic heal bags to keep my kdr up(note it is lesser than your's due to me playing sniper)

if i had played medic from the start of my bf2 account instead of sniper i would say i would have less deaths and a higher kdr,due to self healing.
as a sniper thats one of the hradest things to kill a medic who throws his bag down, not impossible but some times it requires 3 shots to torso on a moving medic unless i can land a headshot.

nad's have always been the same for me,i dont find them a problem, but at the same time i find them usfull in certain situation's

let's face it a nad should kill you.
ok unlimited nad's is a tad unrealistic(irl anyway) but there are countless other things in bf2 whitch are unrealistic aswell.

IRL one support guy cant take enough ammo(wide aray of calibure bullit's,nad's,mines,c4,claymore's,at rockets ect)

IRL planes, jeep's ,armor, helo's dont arpear after a short period of time in perfect working order,(im not going to go in to detail on the majic H pad)

lets not forget majic supply crates that irl if they were droped you would need some form of transport to pick them up and spend at leat 30mins unloading the supplys,

yes you guessed it the supply crate would do nothing if placed next to a burning tank, well if the tank was burning the supply crate would be aswell.

lets get back to reality bf2 is a game the game is SEMI-REALISTIC!!!!

it's like that for a reason so lots of peaple can play it from a walk's of l337'nes

asking for changes like 1 nad or 2 per kit with out the abilty to re-arm takes away part of the game thats always been there since the demo.

i say NO-MORE CHANGES to gameplay(as in if it aint broke dont fix)
just fix bugs and balance jet's

just imagine bf2 with no bugs and balanced jets,id rather have that than complain about the number of nad's jumping the fence on karkand.

Glad you abandoned the insane "question PlaneWhore's skill" route and decided to go with a simple comparison. Unfortunatly you've still failed to convince anyone.

Planes are a powerful vehicle for sure, but they've also got limits. The first and most important limit to understand is that on a 64 player server only 4 of them can be pilots, whereas 64 out of the 64 people can spam grenades if they'd like. A jet can drop 2 bombs and believe it or not with an effective blast radius only slightly larger (and more powerful) than a grenade. A pilot cannot see the targets he is bombing and when he drops his two bombs he has to fly all the way back to base to get 2 more whereas a support simply drops a kit and has reloaded all 4 of his grenades in a fraction of a second.

As Chris said I consider the cannons to be a secondary weapon to bombs and missiles. Planes are above all else designed to engage transports, armor, helicopters and other airplanes and the bombs and missiles are the only effective way to do that. The better question to ask is "If infantry aren't bombers why can they dispense unlimited bombs?".

Actually funny you mention that if you look back at posts I've created in the past I suggested exactly what you just did (minus the retarded landing to rearm) where the total number on bombs and fighters would be cranked back by 50%. I'm against all forms of unskilled spamming, and that isn't limited strictly to infantry.

Call of Duty, Day of Defeat are again all bad examples and both games have balancing points that make grenades nothing like BF2. But regardless what you think no other game allows you infinite grenades of the same potency found in Battlefield 2. You won't find any other game that allows you the same level of spam found in Battlefield 2 and for good reason.

Yep in Day of Defeat you could pick up a nade and then throw em back, of course when you stop being a noob and throw down your own nade to cook off time no one is throwing it back. Viola you have the same nade game play as in BF2 and when you start to think about the game you stay they hell out of choke points. His point is valid and now you're just arguing just for the sake of it.

The noob toob was the only thing that was silly but it's much better now with the delayed arming but still not perfect but it has been nerfed enough damage wise IMHO. God do I hate watching a noob tubed round bounce off an APC though from 10 feet away.

Ok, it doesn’t really matter which is the primary and which the secondary, pilots use all they got at their disposal, especially their ‘secondary’ cannons.

Obviously. It was just an exaggeration of what PW suggested with grenades supply.
Of course pilots would not stop to reload, so that means no more bombs on the battlefield. Same with grenades, no suppliers would mean no grenades. Stupid solution, IMO.

                                How do you like that?
Great idea. Funny how the 'balance' issue never comes up when talking about Ground-to-air AA.
