    C:\Program Files\Qtracker\Filters\Game\Battlefield 2

I had to create the 'Battlefield 2' subfolder myself. You can pretty much put the filters anywhere because the game knows that they are for Battlefield 2 once it sees them..I just like to keep them in their own folder to keep things tidy

Just double click on the filters to install them, no?

Yes or just put them in the new 'battlefield 2 ' folder and the program will load them.

I'll post here if anything changes

For now, I'll be using QTracker and I suggest you all do the same

Qtracker is an Internet/LAN game and MP3 server browser. If you want to find places to play your favorite games, look no further. You can also use Qtracker to administer your game servers, and generate HTML or PHP server listings.

It's even BETTER than the All-Seeing Eye in nearly every way

Get Signa's QTracker BF2 pack here: DOWNLOAD
hey talus, thanks for bumping my pack to the first post.
I will be updating the pack on 5/25 with new filters and SF mapshots. (replacing 2 SF shots)
I also need some EF screenshots (and AF). see this thead

download qtracker. i suggest getting the installer, not the zip.
also get the bf2 files from my sig.
Install qtracker and specify the region you want servers from in the settings. under games add bf2 to your list and somewhere in the connect settings you can put in your bf2 nick and login password.
now install my filters and mapshots.
with qtracker running right click on 'internet games' under bf2 and hit 'find internet games'. it will grab the list from the master and ping them for you. now sort your servers by the 'ping' column (or however you want). double clicking a server should pop up a window and show you who's on the server, etc. at any time you can right click on a server and select 'join server' to play.

This program doesn't impress me. The regional filters doesn't seem to work properly, i.e. it sets Norwegian servers (I get two (2) when updating the server list) as North American even though I've set Europe as my region in the settings dialog.

Guess I need to get used to the in-game browser.

Edit: European servers now get listed, but now I miss the country modifiers from ASE. Oh well, can't have everything.

I created some more advanced filters, it allows about everything ASE did, except the Maps (I am considering implementation of that).

It works perfect, I am thinking of a better Mods algoritm. Won't chance the results, but it might make it slightly easier.

It's all nicely organised in folder, and you can use them from Battlefield 2--->Internet Games as usual.

                  Download:

I got some concerns about this problem though. First of all, the pinging is very very slow, it seems to take about 5 minutes on my 20MBit/2Mbit connection. Any ideas?

And is there a way to copy the server address with hostpost instead of queryport?

Post a message on the qtracker forums..the author usually replies right away and will LIKELY add the feature in the next version.

                      BTW - EXCELLENT work!

PS - you should have your BF2 filter pack hosted on his site under the BF2 download section..I bet he'd add it for you

as promised my updated SF mapshots pack is out. the previous linked version has been updated. I also tossed in a couple more filters, but now with the new filter editor built into qtracker making filters is so easy everyone is releasing thier own version. :p

i've created map filters for vanilla, SF, EF and AF, don't know where to host the zip file though.

Nice that program is still alive. I remember using it last time when bf1942 demo was released and it took long time ASE to support it.
Time to switch then. Since Yahoo bought ASE from those Finnish boys its been downhill it updates so seldom nowadays.

ok... I can get into the program, see all the servers, click on connect, and it will fire off BF2... but it wont log me in at all... and after logging in I just sit at the main logged on screen of BF2... Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
