Re: The All-Seeing Eye is DEAD Need new server browser

I think we have a winner: Qtracker

I'll begin work right away and if I can come up with a good guide and filter set with command line options to get it working 'out-of-the-box' with v1.3, I'll post back.

How do these programs work practically? Do you have to exit BF2 look for an IP with the program then go back into BF2 to enter IP into the browser? My server browser is completely F'ed up post 1.3. Every server I chose the ping went to hell or it switched to a different server.

Well, I have tried every network setting I can and it still locks up all my internet within a few minutes.
Really sik of restarting my modem and router.
Damn, was happy to have a replacement for the ASE but taking all my bandwith is not acceptable.

True, more servers are discovered. Even BF2 in-game browser doesn't show those 'hiden' servers.
By the way, where you get that filter? I don't have that filter.

Ive been using qtracker for around 9 months now and its pretty sweet. Ron the guy who programs it is always improving it and is quick to fix any problems. when 1.3 came out i posted it wasnt working and he had a fix in an hour. one note: qtracker will not work with any previous bf2 patch under 1.3.

I've put together a bunch of common filters and updated the vanilla levelshot pack and also made a SF levelshot pack. you can grab them in my sig. dont bother installing the older bf2 patch filters as they wont work anymore.

also last night I re-did the SF mapshot pack, but havent had time to upload it. the one in my sig will work fine, but if you want the newer one you will have to wait till tomorrow. :)

until then grab my filters and packs Here
