According to the ASE message boards the 1.3 patch and new protocols has killed off ASE, the 1.3 filter list brings up no servers for me?

Can anyone confirm if they can join a 1.3 sever through ASE?

Ok..it looks like ASE is dead..I just thought that the servers hadn't updated yet

If I can find or figure out a workaround, I'll post back here.

Kquery's support for BF2 is broken at the moment..but it looks the most promising...

Maybe if the author gets enough requests..

If you're a fan of ASE, do ANYTHING you can to help get ASE working again. Unfortunately, unless you're a programmer, there isn't anything we can do except post on the ASE message boards.

www.qtracker.com looks good, not tried it but the very latest version 4.21 says it supports BF2 1.3

Servers running 1.3 are showing up with a ping of 9999 (they can't be updated)

Do you have a correct list of 1.3 servers in ASE?

The problem is that ASE will no longer work with BF2 v1.3+ due to changes in the gamespy protocols with v1.3. The application still works..don't get me wrong..but it only works with older software and older versions because since Yahoo! bought the software, they pulled all engineers off of the project and it will never again be updated.

So, if you ONLY use ASE for BF2 (like me), then ASE is dead.

i use it 4 a DoDS and bf2 and if wont be updated again why they selling it i paid for it last year greedy bar stewards lol

they have got a cheek havent they, i mean that really its not free software i should know i paid £10 pounds to get rid of that nagging screen almost a yr ago lol, well if thats the case i certainly wont be paying for it again i can tell u!

I can confirm that Qtracker is working perfectly since it was updated to work with patch 1.3

It works much the same way and probably has more powerful filters than ASE.
