Please Stop bringing the "SIM" argument and I'll stop bringing the "Skill" argument.

Just because this is labeled an arcade game doesn't mean that it can't have a 'reletively' realistic feel to the gameplay.
"Popping" in and out of the battlefield by Squad-hopping is a completely unrealistic implement of the SL Spawning Feature.
It actually ruins the Immersion people get of Fighting on a battlefield.
Which despite the "arcade" label is something DICE is striving for.

Its the first time ive EVER mentioned that this game is an arcade game you want to get into the simple fact. ITS NOT A SIM AND NEVER HAS BEEN medics reviving people shot by a tank at point blanc is unrealistc jumping of a building and opening a parachute is not realistic there million and one thing that are unrealistic .And to use a ******** excusse that squad hopping is unrelistic is bollocks its an arcade game not a sim.

I average 1.5 hours a day..about 2 games... Im almost always squad
leader.. I see people coming and going... so fuggin what.. doesnt hamper
my game at all...

I am fine with you having another opinion than me on that topic.
Still teamwork means working your way together through the enemy lines etc. IMHO. Instead of the front on the battlefield totally breaking down beause one f...ing single squadleader managed to sneak through somewhere, and all dead people think "Yay! Slaughterfest! Spawning behind enemy lines!"

Thats still going to happend people are going to join a squad have a little fight die and then spawn on there squad leader on the other side of the map taking squad hopping out isnt going to make a bit of difference in that respect.

Leave his squad and join another... BEFORE you die. Suicide and respawn if you want to get to him in 15 seconds. Hope he doesn't die in the meantime.

So your soloution is to suicide i dont think so most peoples aim in this game is to gain as many points as possible not lose them.

No, nobody wants SL spawning completely removed, and it's an unfair assumption to say everyone who's for SL rotation/squadhopping being removed wants so just to win more often. It's about having more fun while planning and playing a war.

Actually some people do want spawning on a sqaud leader taken out of the game there getting confussed with what squad hoppinbg is and spawning on a squad leader.

You seem to think big squads never ever split into two smaller ones in reality to go after two different tasks, because teleporters aren't invented yet.

Taking squad hopping out is not going to stop this youre still going to be able to spawn on a squad leader thats on the other side of the map all you doing is making the squad leader hide thats all.

Sure...then we'll have a non-hopping war of "People who've never used Squad-hopping and learned how to keep their squad alive on the battlefield actually playing the game" VS "People who always squad-hopped and never learned how to use Field Tactics" and we'll see who wins.

As it is the Comp people are making it sound like Squad-hopping is the only thing helping them win games.

The true irony of this is that clans will still be able to dominate because they will adapt. Players who are complaining now, will still be complaining, perhaps for the next patch to remove squad leaders all together.

If you kill a squad except for the squad leader, & they respawn & come back right away, kill them again, you can rack up a lot of points that way

The way you fight at the flag shouldnt be the only factor of your success. The way you get to teh flag has to be important aswell. You make it seem as if shooting is the only aspect of BF2. Im suggesting that it isnt. I never said its a SIM, but you so desperately want it to be played like an arcade game, which it isnt.

And that's part of the problem with the current state of BF2.
The Stats system has made everyone a Point-whoring/Stat-Padding moron.
There's no teamwork in pub play anymore because everyones out for them selves.
Hopefully this will reinforce the idea of teamwork.

Is this your first online game? How many people signed the 'petition' to not change jumping in CS? How many people have signed these types of petitions for almost every online game out there?

They go nowhere and only provide people a place to vent. If Dice/EA decide not to end squad hopping then you will see almost the same amount of people complaining that it's still in the game.

People saying that this is going to end clan play, competitive play, or make 80% of the people quit playing have no idea what they are talking about. Anyone that has played online games for any length of time will tell you that.

and the other fact is that you don't listen.
It's labeled an arcade game by it's most basic elements of gameplay and design.
It's not a sim and was never meant to be.
What it is is a military tactical arcade game with realistic elements of Warfare and Gameplay. Even in the smallest sense, how does being able to teleport an entire team into the foray in a matter of seconds even come close to being Arcady in a Military type game.

That number sounds impressive... until you put it into prespective. 5886 signees vs an est 400 000 regestered and active accounts = less than 1.5% of the player base. There's more people than that signed up at a certain well known cheat site. It's also less than 19% of the 31540 registered users at this site alone.

Kinda puts a bit of a damper on things, eh?

That said, I support making it an option. It makes sence. Give it to people both ways and you'll make more happy. However, it's Dice's baby and their call. If they feel removing the feature entirely is better for their game, I'm not going to whine about it.

And 18zulukiller, on the issue of forum behaviour... No one cares how you talk in real life. There are rules here that you are expected to follow. You should know that working around the word filter is a no-no and from previous posts I've seen you make, you are simply better than that. Clean it up a bit, please.
